ive had my megane sport for a few months now! and so far its been brilliant. its great for the family and when im alone its brilliant on performance and speed. i think they look fantastic a deffo eye turner when goin through towns. fuel can be pricey when u put the pedal down, regarding tyres i deffo think u have to go for a gud make on a car like this or it will b pointless driving it, which again could cost a bit.

If you are thinking of buying a Renault 225 Sport, don't do it. I chopped in a Subaru Imprezza for one of these heaps, a decision i have regretted on many occasions.
In 17 months it's been into the dealers 4 times all for electrical problems. I have owned it from new and it now has 14.500 miles on the clock. All the work has been done under warranty but thats not the point is it.
Ive got a test drive booked in a Focus ST.
I can't wait to see the back of the Renault!- Read Guest's review (92 words)

I own the sport cup and really like the uprated brakes and styling. The car is really fun to drive and have mullered R32s,VXR Turbos, and many more. Iti s by far a under rated sports car.- Read Guest's review (48 words)

Love it. Mine is the Renault Megane Trophy version. Hardy lost anything in depreciation in the 18 months I've had it. Bought for 11,500 in may 2007. If you buy new you're going to loose money on any car.
Noticed some other reviews says eats tires and bad fuel economy. Can be true, but if you limit your fun you can make tires and fuel go a long way. I average close to 30mpg and I've had the tyres for more than 12,000 and still have 3mm.
Let it rip and fuel will go down to 20mpg or less.- Read Amsterdaz's review (114 words)

This car has almost bankrupted me! It eats tyres so expect to spend £500+ on tyres every 13k miles. Rubbish on fuel economy, high insurance & the tax is creeping up every year ( £210 this year). Oh and in the 3 years I've owned it, I've lost £10k in depreciation alone. Check your local renault dealer out - mine are very skilled at trying to rip you off and shoddy work....but done with a smile of course!
A lot of fun at a VERY high price. If you can afford to spend that much c ...- Read Guest's review (141 words)

Buy a Renault Megane and be amazed. Unfortunately I bought a lemon and it's taken me 4 months for my dealer to agree to find me a replacement, so fingers crossed. Had rear suspension failure (repaired) steering difficulties (they replaced every component on off side front) trouble with gearbox (they eventually agreed to replace that) turbo failure recently so they have now agreed to replace the car for a newer year with less mileage....RESULT- Read Guest's review (91 words)

Had the Renault Megane over a year and absolutely love it.
Great performance and for me a great mix of comfort and handling.
If you want a car that can handle and is nice to drive on longer trips, this is the hot hatch to have. Styling is subtle so others drivers always try it on at traffic lights! The book says 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds, i've done in 5.9!
Has a cd changer, auto lights, auto wipers, folding mirrors, dipping rear view mirror, typre pressure monitors all standard, as well as keyle ...- Read klop2000's review (158 words and 1 comment)
