My Original mod 50 in .22 calibre is still very, very accurate and is more than capable of taking a Rabbit at 25 Metres.
I have changed the original diopter sights. At present it is fitted with a Hawke Map Pro scope. Friends will confirm this set up is more than a match for many present day Air Rifles.

I have an Gecado mod50 that I hear is actually an Diana mod 50
that came down the family...unfortunately it has missing parts under the trigger mechanism. I was wondering where I can find parts to refurbish this wonderful air rifle?

As I own a number of different underlevers from around that era I have a good comparison base and find the 50 far easier to cock than the airsporter, I have a couple of different marks, and also easier than my relum tornado, as a comparison to a modern underlever I have a tuned hw 57, the trigger of this is lighter than mod 50 and I suppose but there is not a lot in it the 50s has more feel than either the air sporters or relum.my 50 is 177 and I believe a target version as it has a diopter fores ...

My model is a 50TO1 my sons have wrecked it inwardly, I imagine from dry firing and (and I don't know how) by pulling the trigger while the underlever is in the full cocking position. I need to refurbish this lovely rifle but am at a loss to find parts !! Can anyone help me!!!

When I was an apprentice back in the early 60's the Model 50 was the air rifle to have but the price was more than two weeks wages for me then and I had to do without. I always wanted one and now, 45 years later, I have one. I put an ad in a local Co-op store and someone 'phoned me saying he had an "old Original". When I saw it even through the decomposing old canvas gun slip I could tell it was in good shape and when I took it out and wiped it down with a cloth I could see it was even better. H ...

I have 2 Diana model 50, form 1974 and 1980, I like to use them for my adventure in forest, they do not need much maintenance, and aren't difficult to maintain.

I recently 'inherited' a Gecado Model 50 (equivalent to the RWS/Diana model 50) in mint condition. The rifle was manufactured in November of 1974 and it is fantastic. I don't have a chrony but at 10m it punches a hole through a 5l paint can, at 25m it goes through a bean can, and at 45m it can take down a cormarant on the very top of a huge bluegum tree.
This rifle is in top condition. I was interested in upgrading to a modern more powerful airgun but I'm just so disappointed with the new rifl ...

The Diana/Original Model 50 is a big, powerful, handsome under-lever air rifle. The 50 may be a little heavy for some, but that's the price you pay for good German build quality. This is one lovely old air rifle. It's good looking in a rakish 70's sort of way. If Jason King had an airgun, it would be a Model 50.

My Diana was made in 1980, and is on its original spring and seals, but still going strong. Cocking, loading and firing is smooth and effortless. With a UK legal spring it gives a ste ...
