I thought it was a great product when it's in use,but updates are trouble. Whenever I want to update my unit it takes several attempts lasting up to two and a half hours. It crashes my PC refuses to update, always saying error.I once contacted Indic8tor who sent me a cd to remove and reinstall the software, but I still have problems, even now about three years on I'm still struggling. I've just wasted two and a half hours just trying to update it,once again repeat problems,I have never been... (read more)

Clear precise voice works from anywhere in car, mine sits in dash cubby hole. Sound seems to emanate from all around quite amazing from such a small compact unit. Very pleased. Simple press of a button to add any areas you wish to bb reminded of. Would recommend this device to anyone and have done so. Passengers in car always comment on unit and ask for details. (read more)

The Indic8or speed camera detector is by far the best purchase you could make, had mine for over a year and the database is spot on, by far the most uptodate speed detector on the market at a great price. (read more)

I understand this product seems to be quite good, however I just wish they would make it obvious that if you drive a Citroen, Peugeot or Renault, you might have a problem. (read more)

I have had the Indic8tor for three weeks now and it is the best motoring device I have ever purchased. It is sleek looking, doesn't take up much room on the dash and is small enough to stow away out of sight to thieves. I am amazed at it's inginuety at picking up max speed areas. The warnings are brilliant. Every motorist should invest in one. Worth the £30 a year for updates. Compared with similar products on the market this is the best value for money. I have researched them all and find... (read more)

I have used my Indic8tor now for 7 months, it has never let me down and has picked up every camera. Even though I travel the same route to work every day, it's so easy to forget the speed cameras especially when I have other things on my mind, Indic8tor always reminds me of the cameras and tells me to slow down if I inadvertently go over the speed limit. I would never go on any journey without my Indic8tor. (read more)

After watching Ideal World shopping channel I decided to buy an Indic8tor. I've never had any smart gadgets in my car before and I thought now is the time to treat myself. It was definitely a smart purchase and I'm completely satisfied with it. I love the stylish look of it on my dashboard and the security of knowing I won't go over the speed limit.
I've had the Indic8tor for about 3 months now and it has never let me down once. It's like having a friend in the car with you. It tells me to...

I took Indic8tor out for a trial and honestly could have done better with my eyes. It made so many errors on my route it wasn't worth the entertainment value. Plus very annoying. (read more)

This has to be the worst GPS Speed Camera Detector ever. The idea is good, but every GPS system relies on a good database, and even after paying £29 for the recent up-to-date download, the system failed to locate any possible mobile sites that I regularly see for the past 3 years, but it warned me of some that has not been seen ever in the last 10 years. It makes you feel that you have just been mugged because to get the recent downloads you have to pay £29 up front, which is money... (read more)

I paid £29 for the additional 12 months subscription (over the three months free - which you only get if you pay to subscribe) for the most up-to-date camera database downloads and I updated the Indic8tor unit straight away.
In the following three days travelling, it missed 3 fixed cameras, made 2 false red light camera alerts, 3-4 random alerts that binged on and off again, and missed 3 specs zones (two on A1, one on M1). I was so disappointed. The false alerts are worrying and...

I have been using the Indic8tor now for 3 weeks, and it's by far the best purchase I have ever made. The week that I got it I had to go on a long journey from London to Cornwall. There are many speed cameras on the way but I didn't get caught by any of them, because the device warned me that I was exceeding the speed limit and that I needed to slow down. It looks stylish and sexy on the dash board it's not too big. All in all I think it's a good buy.
Every road user should have one.

just a shame that once you purchase it you HAVE to spend out another £29.95 to be able to get the camera database to download

I bought the Indic8tor GPS Speed Camera Detector a week ago. It is a new product out, and I was wary at first, but at the price I could not argue. It is considerably cheaper than the likes of the Road Angel. When I came to install it, it was done with ease. I just mounted it onto the dashboard and plugged it into the lighter socket. Once it was on, I took my car for a drive to see if it found the cameras in my area, and it did not miss a single one. It uses an audible warning so you don't... (read more)

Best bet is the Talex GPS. My family have all purchased one as we were all so impressed with it, and it has never missed either a fixed camera site or mobile camera site.
