    Good Points: It carried on well from the last book and was a compulsive read.

    Bad Points: Not as much happened in this book as happens in previous books.

    General comments: I liked the Penultimate Peril, but not as much as I liked the previous books in the series. Usually more things happen to the children, but in this book it seems to finish very quickly. Apart from this, The Penultimate Peril is a very good read and I would recommend it to anyone who has read the first 12 books first.
