The Remington 700 are great sporting rifles. I have three; two in .270 and 1 in 22-250.
My biggest complaint is the trigger, but it can be fixed by a gunsmith or a replacement trigger set.
These guns are very accurate, but they don't hold a candle to my brother's Tikka rifle
Great sporting gun I you don't want to spend too much money

A good mate of mine has recently bought the Remington 700 rifle in .222-50. We go out foxing with it, and it really dose get battered around, but it still shoots incredibly accurately, and with a sound suppressor on the front it is very swingable, and it eliminates all shake from the user. As for recoil, my air rifle kicks more than this rifle does.
All in all it's a superb little rifle, and I thoroughly recommend buying this rifle for foxes or anything bigger.
