I was a bit dubious about getting an all in one washer dryer, but I really like this. It was the cheapest I could find, and you get what you pay for they say. There are 2 fast washes, 30oc and 60 oc. There is also a super wash which is handy for really dirty stuff. The 1400 spin is sufficient. This machine is quite clever, in the way it does quick burst tumbles in the wash and rinse cycles. I have guessed this ensures they are forced through the water to ensure good results, and this shows!
The wool programme is nothing like I have seen before - the drum turns quicker for the entire cycle, so that the clothes are secured to the outside of the drum, and get washed by being forced through the water. I suppose this is because tumbling wears them quicker?
Be warned, the dryer does get very hot on the high heat setting, so you have to be careful what you dry in this. There is a low heat setting, but have only found this useful to "finish things off" if they are slightly damp from the washing line.
I have found this is only really useful as a dryer for a few things now and then. If you were to use this for every wash, it would be on all the time, as it does take longer to dry big loads, and big loads come out very creased.

The Hotpoint WD440P was the cheapest I could find, and was a bit dubious when buying an all in one washer dryer. But I am pleased with the results. I wouldn't recommend to big families, as drying large loads in this takes forever, and come out very creased. Saying that, it suits us as a couple, and I have grown to really like this! Considering how much a separate washer and dryer cost, this was great value for money.
