Good Points: Dynamique 1.8 16v Petrol - The car looks good and is extremelly comfortable. Body work is excellent.

Bad Points: Where do I start! The car has had so many problems both mechanical and electrical. The electronic ignition system failed £600, Electric window mechanism failed £350, Blowers and Air Conditioning failed £600, Petrol cap flap snapped, tyre sensors need to be replaced/reprogramme after changing the tyres! Seat belts don't retract properly, rear wash wiper has failed. It needed new rear callipers and shocks after 60,000 miles! All door seals are leaking resulting in water getting into the car. The list goes on!
Very heavy on petrol and front tyres.

General comments: Undoubtly the Renault Laguna Sport Tourer worst car for reliability I have ever owned. In addition to the reliability the parts are very expensive. I will never buy another Renault in my life.
Please avoid buying the Laguna II.

I bought the Renault Laguna around the time the new Scenic was brought out, as I coudn't afford the Scenic my dealer had a deal on the Laguna Extreme.
