Never again, flew with AA from PER-BKK return. Our BKK-KL flight was canceled but no one bothered to notify us of the change, we were simply taken off the list and not re-scheduled on another flight. It was only by accident I picked this up because AA didn't contact us at all even though they had our contact details. Also our flight KL-BKK was delayed by 90min and we were not given an explanation or apology, this delay caused us to miss our connecting bus to Pattaya forcing us to take a cab which cost $50 Aust.
Seats were cramped and uncomfortable, you pay for what you get, cheap flight = cheap service.

I was denied access to a supervisor and was coerced to "change" an airline ticket when I just needed them to send me home. It is important to mention that this was a returning flight and therefore it was AirAsia Airlines to send me back to the originating country, which according to international law they are supposed to fulfill. It appears to me that this airline banks on the lack of knowledge of their customers' rights to impose its will and get money from the customers.- Read fanariba's review (86 words)

Congratulations Air Asia. My opinion is that you have revolutionised international air travel. You have minimised all the unecessaries. Your competitors must hate you. Are they the ones writing the poor reviews? My wife and I look forward to travelling with you again to Dubai in March. Your call centre can be a bit slow but just try Qantas, Thai, Malaysian - unfortunately, they are worse. The four aircraft we travelled on were immaculate - probably new. I have already recommended you to my frien ...- Read Errol Hansen's review (95 words)

Very Bad booking service!!! Especially for early bookings !!! They move your flight like their ass and charge you cancellation fee if you cancel the flight. It happens to me several times. Imagine how much profit they'll get if many people cancel the flight ?!- Read Guest's review (43 words)

Ground service extremely bad and in mess. Nobody coordinating the work flow resemble poor management with poor leadership in operation. Poor work force quality makes me doubt if the air craft is checked properly for my flight, and are they really trying to make everyone can fly freely in the sky. Definitely not a wise choice for faint-hearted to keep mind in peace while experiencing the unknown impromptu flight delay with the anxious faces appeared on their crews. For hot tempered/fast-paved mov ...- Read Guest's review (141 words)

I have flown many times over the past two years and am finally fed up with the poor service from this airline. Air Asia seem to be late more often than not, and appear only interested in extracting money. There is no value from flying with this airline, you are better off flying paying slightly more for a fare (where everything is included) from another airline that actually understands customer service. I live in Vietnam and have to pay toll charges to Malaysia if I want to speak to someone ...- Read Guest's review (106 words)

PER-KL-STN.
PER - KL - PER was on Airbus 330, the seats are essentially 3 inch foam, the back support does not recline but instead the bottom seat cushion moves forward by about 2 inches - do not expect a comfortable recline. Prior to departure they pack you in the plane 45-60 mins before departure time but do not turn the air-conditioning on till the plane departs, making it very uncomfortable in the heat and humidity especially in KL. You land on the tarmac and walk to the terminal which is q ...- Read Guest's review (204 words)

I would like to air my opinion toward this airline. If you are not budget-tight, DO NOT fly Air Asia.I just had the worst experience with this airline. I agreed with an opinion that they just try to collect as much as money from the customers. Seat assignment: I don't know that now we can pick our seat upon checking in. My husband traveled from Hat Yai to Bangkok on a delayed flight, as usual. He checked in one hour early and told the ground staff that he would like to sit in the middle part of ...- Read neverflyagain's review (224 words)

Air Asia are a nightmare to travel with as others point out - amongst other things DON'T TRUST AIR ASIA WEIGHING SCALES - I flew from Chaing Mai to Bangkok with Air Asia, my bag coming in at 16.5 Kg (Air Asia allowance 15 Kg) for which I had to walk around the airport to pay the excess baggage fee before queuing again for check-in (I could have just unpacked 1.5kg clothing and carried it on the plane with me as the chap in front of me had done, and infuriated other passengers both waiting to che ...- Read Guest's review (135 words)

I will never book Air Asia again - they have no customer welfare at all - only goal is collecting as much money as they can from would be customers. They prey on those who are budget conscious and those who are not IT savvy. Air Asia may as well not have any staff on the phones, just automated systems who spew out their rules and regulations over and over again.- Read Guest's review (72 words)

Air Asia was not as cheap as they are trying to persuade people they are. We booked 3 single flights with Air Asia from KL-DPS-CGK-KL, there were delays on the last 2 flights. On the 1st one: 1 hour delay, the flight management bothered to inform us 6.5 hours in advance via text.On the 2nd one, 4 hours delay no infos were given whatsoever. We had only 3 hours of restless sleep in a very expensive Sheraton hotel in KL before having to get up at 6.30 am to catch our flight back to London due to th ...- Read Ianev's review (111 words)

Air Asia - Air Rubbish more likely !! - Massive delays so you either miss your connecting flights or ruin your holidays. They are suppose to text you any changes but not everyone gets those text messages. Grumpy staff - definitely underpaid and under experienced.Planes that stop before taking off !! then change plane...only to stop before taking off again! One kilo above 15kg you pay !! They dont even offer you a glass of water during the flight!Air Asia Airport in Kuala Lumpur crowded, a mess ...- Read dimitrikevgas's review (96 words)

Flew from Perth WA to KL in March 09 with Air Asia. Had a great flight with no problems at all . Staff were great. The flight left on time an arrived in KL 1/2 hour early so that was good.
We missed our conecting flight home to perth because we didnt allow enough time between flights (our mistake not the airline)
Cant complain cos the flight was so cheap.
We had to buy another ticket and sleep at the airport.
But we survived and are planning another trip in October with the family.(andmaking s ...- Read melajaca's review (133 words)

As some other customers mentioned before, I was 5 minutes late because of the traffic jam in Penang. The checked in Time is 45 mins before departure and with just 5 mins late, they refused my checked in. I found Air Asia customer service is very rude and they seemed they did not want to answer my question.- Read Guest's review (63 words)

Had a horrible return trip on Air Asia X. On my first flight, halfway through the flight, I found that the comfort kit I had prepaid was missing pieces. Repeated requests to provide the the neck-pillow AND eye mask were "forgotten" until I finally gave up. On my return, I was delayed at the check in counter because my visa was in the old passport - and they needed to have upper management verification. This has never happened in any airport before.
Overall, I felt it is not worth the cheaper pr ...- Read zeurith's review (131 words)

Allowed me to book online first part but refused same card for next 2 legs , as far as I was aware there was no problem with card, worked fine for World Nomads Insurance and Nokair. . Forced to phone book rest of trip because no refunds if I cancel first part - no problem , everything booked through ok - BUT because now phone and not online booking trip tot ...- Read ashdav's review (174 words)

Is it worth flying air asia? It is if you're short of money & have a lot of time to kill but don't expect your trip to be an easy process. This airline could make just a few small changes which would make the experience of flying with them so much better. I've taken a lot of air asia flights & so many of them have been cancelled or delayed without any communication or compensation. I've just recently decided that it's not worth the money you save! So I'm now going to pay the extra for a decent s ...- Read Guest's review (141 words)

Customer Services? In my experience there aren't any. Made my booking ages ago for 5 flights with Air Asia - unfortunately when I log in it says I have no flights booked... hmm. Air Asia did not answer my emails. I've now been trying to ring customer services for 8 days but cannot get through. I'm currently on hold again and have been for 40 minutes and am wondering if there's actually anyone at the call centre or if this is just another waste of time and money.- Read Guest's review (88 words and 1 comment)
