“There is none customer services”

Written on: 15/03/2013

The flight attendant existence actually is not really required. why Airasia wanted to spend so much of "non existence" customer cabin service? Is it just for display? I am on my flight back from Taipei, and the we girlfriend and I was seated on different seats even we are checked in together. The crew don't care to help out on re-arrange. About the 1st class seat. They don't even serve any free flow beverage or even entertainment. The price you paid for 1st class is actually for the extra... (read more)

“Worst customer service EVER!”

Had not received the original e-ticket for a ticket I bought online by mail. Ask for a copy several time but receive NONE assistance from any of their customer service whether mail, twitter, Facebook and phone calls. I really discouraged anyone from flying in Air Asia. “Non existant customer service”

Written on: 04/01/2013

OK, the flight got us from A-to-B, but everything else was just terrible. Air Asia have the most rude ground staff I've ever encountered in 35 years of flying around the world. I did follow up my complaints as soon as I returned by email (since that's the only way to complain), straight away I get an automated response saying I will get a reply in the next 5 days. Some 24 days I finally get a 'canned' response not even addressing by complaints - it just explained AirAsia company policy. ... (read more)

If you want to skip the refund for the unused ticket (mind you, 30 days prior to your visit). they WON'T refund it for you. Oh they will return a 3$ service fee. Should you feel like connecting the customer service - you might want to waste much more on international call holding for a whole 15 mins for someone to answer and tell that you WON'T get any refund. “Worst Air Airline. Avoid At All Cost ”

Written on: 16/11/2012

I traveled from Kuala Lumpur to another city in Malaysia. It was a disaster. The LCCT airport is a mess and disgrace. There were long and disorganised queues everywhere and folks could easily miss flights because of the poor management and communication. The place is poorly signposted and the staff is far from helpful. The tickets are not cheap. You get what you pay for. The ground staff are absolutely not polite. I showed the e ticket and itin, then thay said there's something wrong with my payment, but I already checked with my bank, they already took my money. This was ended up with I paid cash at the counter so I can fly. “Avoid Air Asia”

Flight was delayed for over 4 hours. Meal/drink voucher provided in compensation was only 100 THB, barely enough even to buy a drink in the terminal. The gate kept being changed during the delay so we got some unexpected exercise moving from one end of the terminal to the other. Of course the flight was booked on Air Asia's tortuously incomprehensible website in the first place. All in all, life is too short to deal with an airline like this. I absolutely one hundred per cent agree with this reviewer. The Air Asia website is a disgrace. I've never seen a more disingenuous attempt to take every penny from customers before. I work in IT. A less tech savvy person might give up or be fooled after trying to opt out of the select-a-seat option (extra costs, but you have to counter-intuitively click the other button, \\\"cancel\\\", instead of \\\"ok\\\" when a pop-up asks you if you're sure you want to abandon extra-cost seat selection - WTF? The popup asks do you want to abandon seat selection - if you do, the answer should be \\\"ok\\\" - instead clicking \\\"ok\\\" tells the website \\\"no, I don't want to abandon this\\\" and takes you back to seat selection...) This is all aside from repeated attempts to get you to purchase insurance (again difficult to remove from your checkout) and meals. Oh, don't forget they must be the only airline on the planet that bans passengers from eating their own food on the flight.

The website is part of the airline, and there is nothing wrong (unless you are Air Asia staff) warning other people about what an un-user friendly (at best) it is.

I agree. And this is new. I just booked a flight today and can confidently say the website has really been turned into a minefield for the shopper. It never used to be that way. You now have to fight to decline seat selection, fight to decline insurance, the bag fee has gone up %500, and at the end you pay a 4 dollar service fee. Air Asia bookings have gotten very ugly.

I have made FOUR attempts and waited in queues lasting in total FIVE hours to try to get a refund for overcharged baggage (nearly $100). I spoke to someone FOUR days ago, who promised my issue would be escalated and I would get a return call from the refund department....I am still waiting. Today, after more waiting on line, when I spoke to a real, live person my relief was shortlived when the phone call was cut off. As I had given my phone number at the start of the conversation, I waited... (read more)

I was wondering after my last Air Asia flight, why they were awarded as the world's best budget airline in 2009 and 2010 already. In what terms can they be better then the European ones. I have had numerous flights on European budget and on the Air Asia too. Just cant imagine that their unkind, unfriendly customer service can fly them to the top. I can hardly bring up any trouble free encountering with the Air Asia from my memories. Probably I was just unlucky that almost all the time their... (read more)

Air Asia has an unethical advertising policy where discounted or @free@ seats are offered online, however, when a seat is reserved the quoted price to be paid is the standard price. There is no SOLD OUT banner to prevent confusion. Their phone service can only be described as utterly pathetic and frustrating. Don't even try to use it, you will need a psychologist afterwards. I changed my travel date and had to cough up a whopping 1800 baht - which made the final ticket price way above other... (read more)

Overall flight was ok, they have made a couple of changes to our flight to UK and back which cause lots of problem as all the changes either arrive really early hours of the day or not enough time to board the connecting flight so we have the extra cost of accomodations which amount to 3days and thats $300+ so if you get a real bargin then it ok otherwise pay a little more go with non budget airline. I have a second bad experience with them on another flight as this time I made a little... (read more)

You can save quite a bit of money by travelling with these guys because everything is removed so you have to buy in back in terms of comfort or entertainment!
Don't get me wrong, they work excellent as cheap jaunt around asia once there, but take BIG more famous jet company to get to KL first. As 15 hours stuck in that cabin is only for the young fit person who can rough anything (I used to be). (read more)

After reading multiple and mixed reviews prior to booking with AirAsia for the first time, I was a little hesitant in flying with them but having just taken 4 of their flights in 9 days, I would highly recommend them to anyone. As they are a budget airline, you are obviously going to get what you paid for so sometimes I feel that people's expectations are a little over the top.
In regards to check in procedure- there were absolutely no problems. We had pre-printed our boarding passes so... (read more)

Written on: 21/10/2010

I have flown several times from Melb to KL return over the last 2 years with discount airfares...unbelievable value... paying $AUS250 to $350 RETURN! . The flights have always been on time, planes clean, my only concern is that the staff seem to be a little indifferent to safety issues. For instance on my last flight back to Melb in Feb 2010, the fellow next to me had a large parcel on his lap as we were preparing to take off and had his seat belt undone, which was not noticed by various...
