Other branches of Strada seem to be getting a pasting on this website, but the one in Wilmslow is reliably excellent - easy parking, really nice interior design, great food at good prices, unobtrusive yet attentive staff. I've also never had a problem at their other branches, and the fact you can use Tesco Deals tokens there makes it a bargain. In fact I think Strada is tha best national chain in this price range at the moment - great and really reliable.

This review is about Strada in West Hampstead.
I visited Strada at around 2pm on Saturday afternoon. It wasn't very busy but still managed to create a nice relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. We seated ourselves at a slightly wobbly table outside and were quickly welcomed with a selection of menus and told about the special lunch offer, then we were left to make our choices.
We felt the menu, wine especially looked a little expensive for the type of restaurant Strada is (the cheapest being ar ...- Read Angels Sin's review (284 words)

I have had an appalling experience at Strada Birmingham ICC. First time I went to Strada I was very impressed with their service and food, however it was a different story this time. I found this waiter very rude and unhelpful from the start. Originally we just wanted to have drinks and asked a table for 7 people. He told me that we had to sit in two separate tables so I asked if it's OK to put them together, then he went "ah, not really because they are round table". At this point I had al ...- Read Guest's review (355 words)

We had been to the branch outside the Festival Hall on the south bank last year, which was a better experience than at Highgate last night. The service was OK but the next table had problems getting their order. I had a pork saltimbocca, which is a fillet of pork wrapped in ham with a stuffing of sage leaves that give the distinctive taste to the dish. At the halfway stage I realised that there was no evidence of sage to be found under the ham. My wife had scallop risotto which was very oily and ...- Read Guest's review (184 words)

On the plus side, the strada restaurant has a nice atmosphere and nice decor.
It took about 45m for the starter to come (and it was not worth waiting for). The waiter wasn't particularly attentive.
The food was not great. Our party complained that the pizza's, salads, and garlic bread were overly salty. Additionally, the salad had way too much vinegar. Seems like the chef is heavy handed and doesn't taste his food when cooking. All in all the food I had was quite unpleasant due to the sal ...- Read Guest's review (113 words)

The service is always very efficient at Strada but the food is not always up to scratch. The Strada in Richmond as pointed out by a different reviewer is also extremely limited in space. Whilst there last month with my partner, I had to avoid being hit in the head (twice) by a person sat at the table next to us who was emphasising her conversation with her chums. We had a laugh about it at the time but really there should be more space inbetween tables, not just for privacy of diners but also to ...- Read speakout's review (272 words)

Strada is not a bad restaurant, but not great - formulaic and not authentic Italian. Food was well cooked and hot, service was fine, but it just wasn't Italian enough. The Bruschetta Pomodorino had chopped English tomatoes and nothing in the way of oregano or basil to create that fabulously simple thing Italians do with bruschetta - it was bland. The linguine alla pescatore was not bad - the seafood was great, but the tomato sauce on the pasta again lacked that Italian flavour - loads of pars ...- Read simonelwell's review (168 words)

We have mixed feelings about the Strada restaurant in Richmond. The service was good, and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We have eaten here 3 times, and cannot recommend the Pizzas as they were overcooked, but the lamb was excellent. The tables are placed very very close together, and you get no privacy whatsoever. We also strongly object to a 12.5% service charge being added to the bill, which is way over the top. Why restaurants can't leave the customer to add their own gratuity as they ...- Read Jayne and James's review (111 words)
