Excellent rooms - clean and comfortable. Superb food at dinner and breakfast and impressive bar. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Stunning views from the hotel. Limited number of stations on the room TV. I greatly enjoyed my stay and would certainly return to the Tors if I revisit Lynmouth.

I just came back from a stay and I though it was great. Of course I never ate dinner at the hotel but I stayed on for breakfast. Friendly staff and a splendid view of Lynmouth. The hotel is from 1895 and still bears some of that Victorian charm, even if it is a little rough around the edges.
My only problem was finding a parking space and getting on and off the road of that steep hill seemed a bit risky. But hey, they views makes it all worth it.

We have stayed at the Tors Hotel in Lynmouth before. We had a nice stay at the hotel, and we found the staff to be generally helpful, and they also gave us some good advice on where to go with the children.

The views are lovely! The hotel is set half way up a steep hill from Lynmouth, and it is about a 10 minute walk to the village centre.

The only problems we had were with family meal times. The hotel has a very unusual system in that children have to eat before 7 and adults after 7. Thi ...

The Tors Hotel in Lynmouth is a pet friendly and child friendly hotel, but it wasn't what we were looking for. Dogs and children are allowed everywhere. The heated outdoor pool is where the children spent most of their time.

Overall, this hotel was reasonable, and Lynmouth and the countryside and coastline are stunning, but we would have preferred a hotel that catered for adults only.

We will return to Lynmouth in the Autumn, but probably to a less child and pet friendly establishment. ...

I have since childhood wanted to stop at the Tors. God did I make a mistake! Lovely views but it ends there food was dire and I mean dire! The pool is little more than a leaf filled pond and the loungers were filthy. The decor as in the other review old folks home. I wrote and complained but as yet I have yet to receive a reply. Save yourself some money and heartache and go somewhere else. We found some much nicer places in Lynmouth but too late.

There is only limited car parking at the front of the Tors Hotel in Lynmouth, Devon. The main car park is around the back. We managed to squeeze our car in the car park, just, and then made our way along a steep muddy path to the hotel reception.

The room made us feel depressed. When we got in we put our cases down, and we were unhappy at the decor we found, as it was tired and dated.

The food was very average, and the staff and service was mediocre.

I have stayed in quite a few hotel ...
