Good Points: Ease of use Ease of transferring photos Reliability
Bad Points: None so far
General comments: Sony Mavica MVC FD75 - I've had this camera since December 2003, and use it every day for one thing or another. It's not as well-endowed with a lot of the gimmicks that the more modern cameras have, but in sheer ease of use, it's the best. The size is fine for me, it fits in my hand perfectly, which can't be said for these new modern things that look like matchboxes. The design is right - it's comfortable without being bulky.
I'm going to get another Mavica this coming Christmas, for myself, and giving this to one of my kids. If she gets as much pleasure from this as I have, then she'll have a long association with a great product.

I use my Sony Mavica MVC FD75 for work and at home.
I work on large Yachts and most of the big Dealers want pictures before any work has been done and the FD75 fits right in for me, I can take the picture and see it then take it back to the shop for the service manager to copy and file.
At home I use it for all kinds of great pictures and even attached it to my 12" Meade LX 200 telescope to get some good images of the Moon and Mars...........Great Camera!

The Sony Mavica FD75 is a great little digital camera for the beginner. You will find the 10x zoom very handy when taking pictures of nature.

We purchased a Sony Mavica FD75 digital camera about a month ago. It worked fine for several days and then developed a green tint over about 25% of the left-side of the photo. Called Sony -- they could not explain why and said to "send it in". We returned camera to our dealer and obtained a different camera but also a FD75. Used it about a week with no problem but it has now again developed a green tint over the left 25% of the photos. Called Sony. They again can't explain why. Said it must be ...

The Sony Mavica FD75 is a perfect general purpose camera for digital stills. Intuitive features and no cables or proprietary software to mess with. A hand held remote could jazz it up but not necessary.

The best thing about this digital camera is the floppy disk storeage. You get 25-30 pictures on each disk, so take a box of 10 on holiday and you can take hundreds. If you run out a few pounds at the local shops gets you another box.
The image quality is good too and it has a powerful 10 times zoom.
