Good Points: Easy for non linux users to use Very easy install. Easy desktop interface Great for beginners and experts alike No viruses or spyware to wory about as with any linux machines
Bad Points: If you download it, it will be 3-4 cd's or 1 dvd Impossible if you are dialup. Will not work with very low end machines at a good speed.
General comments: Ive been using Both Linux and Windows for years.
And this is a great OS. I've got a lot of people to switch over to it because they are tired of the windows viruses, spyware, and crashing/rebooting.
Windows users will feel somewhat used to the KDE desktop. You can also use others like Gnome, Enlightenment...etc...All though the directory structure of linux is not set up the same as windows, it is not hard to get use to the setup. In fact it is a more logical way.
I have not had any problems at all with this OS. You can run it as is with no problems, or tweak it to your hearts content.
Kongueror, like Windows Explorer, you can use to browse the internet amd files is even better.
You can split the screen and shuffle file/images back and forth without having to open 2 or more windows.
There are tons of free software you can get that are comparable to any windows apps. Play music, work on graphics, chat online, brows the internet, email, create documents, and much more.
Try Mandrake Move if you are wanting to try it out without having to install it they have a cdrom that will run at boot that is not installed on your PC.
