Every meal has ben as good as the last the quality has been as good as the last visit. We would recommend this restaurant to anybody who wants authentic greek food and wine in london. Dont eat anything other than the kleftiko its the best

We have been to this restaurant a few times since we moved to richmond and have found it a reliable local restaurant. the service is friendly and the food fresh and well cooked. we found the waitress very helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed and not at all stuffy, unlike some restaurants in the area!
as lovers of healthy mediterranean food we will definitely be going again… Read Full Review

There's a good reason The Wine and Moussaka remained whilst many others have come and gone. It's food is tasty, always high quality and carefully cooked and it's prices mean it's outstanding value for money for this area. I see a few reviewers say they've had a bad meal here. Perhaps they did, but we certainly never have and after 10 years it remains one of our favourite places to eat… Read Full Review

I can only assume the people that rated the Wine and Moussaka restaurant highly have never actually been to Greece and eaten Greek food. Sadly the food we ordered was neither imaginative or tasty. The meze consisted of what appeared to me to be "shop-bought" dips and dolmades out of a tin; the mousaka was predominantly bechemel with little aubergine or meat; and the lamb shank (although tender) had no taste except that of cheap lamb and burnt onions. Even the cous cous had zero seasoning. The… Read Full Review

Visited Wine and Moussaka on a wet August evening and found it to be packed full, which is always a good sign.
There was a waitress on duty who seemed to struggle with basic English and I nearly ordered 5 starters and 6 main meals for just 3 of us, as she did not explain the Meze dish at all, and just stared at me in complete bewilderment! Another member of staff then had to rectify the situation.
It seemed as though the regulars were tended to, whereas we sat there most of the night without… Read Full Review

Wine and Moussaka is a great place, I'd say the best in kew, though it does look like a paper shop from the front. But aren't the best places always the ones that are hidden away?… Read Full Review

I used to live nearby, but for the last few years, I travel 35 miles each way to dine at Wine & Moussaka in Kew - that's how good it is!
Make a reservation, as there is no place to sit while you wait for a table if it's busy… Read Full Review

I've been eating here for years. The menu hardly ever changes but I've always had well prepared, good quality and tasty food. Because of that I think its excellent value. It's overseen by energetic and lively staff. If don't know anything about Cyprus, you will by the time you leave… Read Full Review

The Wine and Moussaka is located on Kew Green, and is a smallish Greek restaurant serving most of the usual authentic Greek dishes. We went there to remind us of our holiday in Crete, and found it more formal than we expected. The biggest criticism was that the tables were very close together giving us no privacy. The food was good and fairly well priced, and the service was both efficient and friendly. Certainly worth a visit if you enjoy Greek food and are in area… Read Full Review
