Stolichnaya is a fine, clean-tasting vodka, excellent straight (out of the freezer) or mixed in a martini. I have been drinking it for years. BUT, I am being frustrated by the new bottle/cap which apparently is designed never to be opened. The old bottle had a metal cap which twisted off easily. The new one is plastic, covered with a pastic-like sleeve which can only be opened by inserting a sharp knife-blade between cap and bottle and cutting all around. Even then it is often a battle... While so many others have tried to emulate Russian vodka production techniques, they have never wholly succeeded.

Stoli is probably the best non-premium priced (in Canada anyway) vodka on the market. There are some better vodkas, i.e. Belvedere, Grey Goose, Chopin, but to get something better than Stoli, you'll have to pay a significantly higher price.
Smirnoff, Absolut, and Finlandia just can't compare. (read more)

Stolichnaya Vodka, or 'Stoli', is probably the cleanest and the most pure vodka on the market. It's so clean that in my very experienced, yet personal opinion the only right way to drink it is after you've had a bottle in a freezer 24 hrs prior to consuming.
