Good Points: The B40 is a clone of the $565.98 beautifully appointed and popular AA TX 200 this rifle is thought by many to be the best springer ever built taken the reins away from the HW 97 as the most used FT air rifle. The B40 functions are similar to the Tx200 though the its made slightly different as in loading port and some internal machining. The AA TX200 is machined better and wood stock is more detailed. Other then that the B40 is a dead ringer for the TX200 some have replaced the B40's stock with a TX200s and you can't tell the difference except for the companies marking and the loading port. The B40 is probably the best made springer out of China.

Bad Points: The pins work loose near that holds the safety release. This is common for Tx200s and B40s to set the trigger you must make sure to cock the gun at end of the cocking stroke. The auto saftey will come out when this is done and the gun can be fired.

General comments: As mentioned the B40 except for the beautiful detailed workmanship of the AA TX200's wood and metal it is a clone of this very popular air rifle.

It's not a AA TX200 but its darn close in strip down and function. It's also very close in accuracy I've found that it likes Rws Super domes and CPLs but seems to group almost any pellet into clover leafs at 20 yards benched. I have a soft bench I built for springer.

I know benched shooting is not a measure of what the shooter can do under field condition but it does show what the rifle and pellet combo are capable of.

As stated the B40 has the function of its distance English cousin in almost every way. The rifle is a adult air rifle the cocking stroke is smooth but firm and you have to assure that its cocked at the end of the stroke. You also have to stick your fingers inside a sliding breech to load the pellet. Both rifles seem to have a fail proof beartrap safety release. I place my thigh between the cocking handle and barrel just in case. After loading you release the bt safety then the trigger auto safety and the guns ready to fire. The trigger is smooth and 2 stage making for precise shooting.

For a springer the B40 is very quite only the internal spring operation is heard and the rifle has plenty of power for a spring air rifle. Its a well made air rifle with excellent accuracy at less then half the price of its popular and beautiful UK distance cousin.

My test target with various pellets at 20 yards are clover leaf like groups measuring less then a dime of course this is benched. So I'm not that good a shot but the rifles shooting lights out. With a better scope I'm hoping to place the pellets inside the same pellet hole for 2-3 shots as I can do sometimes with RWs 46. Comparing the two the B40 is quieter, more powerful, smoother, has a better trigger or just as good and just as accurate maybe after I find the best pellet for it. The Rws 46 has prettier wood work and sleeker, that ingeniously safe loading port, has more felt recoil (as the B40 has almost none) and very accurate.

The B40 compares well against this well made under cocker. My B40 was partially tuned by Mike Melick and he did a great job.
I'm happy its a very good air rifle, change the stock and it becomes a beautiful accurate air rifle, just like its cousin.

I bought in 22 cal about 2 months ago & It's my favorite springer along with a Gamo CFX,
Opened up the loading port a little with some emery paper on a 1/8 dowel.
Much better now , Would buy this rifle again.

WARNING: Do not over-tighten stock screws! I did and Stripped out the receiver and screw. Am waiting for repacement parts.

I really like this airgun. Good power/range, straight shooter. RWS superdome worked well for me. TX200 manual suggest 16.4g weight for pellets, JSB exact may be better. At 50 yard, I'm hitting throught coffee cans. Get good mounts! The Beeman scope I'm using likes to slide around. Shrouded Barrel makes harder to clean. First thing I did was degrease the barrel by shooti ...

I have just got my Xisico B40 air rifle today, and I must say that I am very impressed with this rifle so far! It is of course a copy of the very famous Air Arms Tx200. Mine is the .22 cal version. Here is the review!

    1. Stock and outside - The stock is a nice matte finish. Woodgrain is very nice indeed. Finish is almost perfect. The stock is very uniform and nicely fitted. Cheekpad is well sculpted. My only complaint is that it is made for a bigger person, and my thumb hits the cheekpad when ...
