I would agree with much of what Jaz has said. The Corolla T Sport isn't as focused asports hatch as the Civic Type-R, but then I think it appeals to a slightly different audience who enjoy the relatively relaxed feel of the car when they're not in the mood to drive it hard. Given that it often sells for just over half the price of an equivalent Type-R, it makes it a good buy in my opinion, especially as it's fitted with stability control - a feature many drivers look for.

The VVTL-i second cam kicks in harder than the smoothed out EP3 type r, the 0-60 is in the low 7's. It has a power-to-weight ratio similar to a 172, how is it 8.4secs? JazzRS360 I don't believe you own the car as you don't know what you are talking about regarding the performance… Read Full Review

A bit of a mixed bag this Corolla T-Sport. I myself like the car, but I can easily understand that a younger customer may well find it under whelming. Ok, first off the styling and design. The Corolla is not exactly known for it's pretty mug, but with this hot 'T-Sport' model you would have thought that Toyota would have put some effort into making their premier model look like a 'hot-hatch'. I recently bought a Toyota Corolla T-Sport and I must admit I find it almost faultless. The handling is exactly what you should expect from a car in this price range! As for the VVTLi engine.. outstanding. A little lacklust until you get it to 6,000rpm but after that just sit back or be pushed back. Beautiful car… Read Full Review
