I had massive problems with Tenants Loans Information way back in 2006 and i cant believe that they are still trading! back in 2006 i rec a letter from them telling me i had been approved 4 a loan of up to £3000 and all i had to do was contact them and my loan would be paid 2 me in 3 days max. i duly rang them and paid my fee of £50. Four days later i rec a letter from them 2 say that they had found a "negative entry" on my credit file but they could still process my loan if i could provide a guarantor 4 my loan! I rang the company and pointed out to them that it was they who had originally contacted me and they had clearly stated in that letter that i had already been approved 4 a loan so how could they now say they had found a "negative entry"? Their answer was that the letter should have said "provisionally approved pending a satisfactory credit check". They then said that if my guarantor paid another £50 my loan could still be paid out in 3 days. I demanded a refund of my £50 and told them i would be contacting trading standards. Their response was "as the misprint in the letter was our error we will, as a gesture of goodwill, reduce your guarantors payment to £25 if it is paid now"! I think you can imagine what my response 2 that was! It took me seven weeks of phone calls and emails 2 finally get my money back but. even now, i am still getting letters from them telling me ive been approved for a loan of (now) up to £5000 and the "misprint" is still there!

After paying my £49.50 fee... I complained to them that the quality of details they were sending me were unsuitable for me and asked for a full refund.

3 days later received a cheque for £45 ( £49.50 less brokerage fee they said)

So I would say they seem legitimate enough and may be suitable for some people.

I applied to Tenants Loands Information having recieved a letter from them.
They guaranteed me a loan, so i paid the fee £49.50
They then sent me one letter saying apply to a certain lender (they declined on my postcode being out of their catchment area)
They then sent me one letter giving the phone number of a debt line to set up a debt management plan
They then sent me one letter to apply to another lender who declined my application
When I applied they did not say I would have to keep ...

I applied to Tenant Loans after requesting £4000.00 they also offered me £3000. With FLM who require a guarantor, I have requested a refund which I will fight for the are also saying they collect money for a childrens charity. It would be intresting to know if the charity is aware of this.

Requested a loan of £4k through Tenants Loan Information, was offered a guaranteed loan for this amount subject to a fee of £49.95. Left this for a couple of weeks when they wrote again and reduced the fee to £24.99. Sent off the fee and within a couple of days received a loan form from FLM for £3k requiring a guarantor at an APR of 48%.
Needless to say this wasn't taken up, just need to wait another 4 months before reclaiming the fee.

I applied for a loan of 5k they said i could have it in 3 days if i paid £50 up front. I questioned this and said why should i pay £50 up front when it could be taken from the 5k. Their answer was it is for the costs of setting it up. I was told they are not a broker and my information would be kept on their files and NOT passed to any other loan companies. i asked to speak to a manager as i was not happy with paying £50 up front. After being on hold for 15 minutes a "superviso ...

They took the wrong number of my house down so when I rang to chase the loan they refused to speak to me saying I would need to send in proof of identity first. They refused to let me speak to a supervisor and then said he would ring me back in 48 hours which he didn't.

I am having issues getting my money back also. They are demanding me to put in a request for a call investigation but my query is with what the offer was - I also found a lower offer which they guranteed they will find me the lowest offer for my circumstances. I got a generic letter today which is more like a "fob off!".

Well folks, just to update you. I got my money back after emailing the directors of the company. I was then passed to some guy, I was told it would take up to ten working days to go back into my account. I thought this was rubbish and told them so and that if the money wasn't back in my account within the time frame they said then I would begin legal proceedings. Within 48 hours the money was back in my account.
Be persistent, don't let them side track you and keep notes of the conversation. I a ...

After going through the same process that everyone else has and stupidly paying the money I am now in the process of getting it back. You have to be relentless though. This is the worst of them all apart from perhaps Yes.
    Email these people
and don't stop until they offer you the full refund. Even then just keep at them every day until the money is back in your account. Make them know that you will report them to the OFT as well.
    Good luck guys

First of all a bit of advice to every one YOU all can get your money back. No matter what happens you must write to the company and continue writing to them and don't stop. Ask to speak to a manager and put things right its your money so start behaving like it is too.Secondly the best way to clean up credit history is apply for a loan of 500 from provident and as you pay back your loan the next loan will be increased to thousands and remember when you borrow you HAVE to give it back and be care ...

This week through my royal mail post I received a leaflet offering loans to people with bad credit, ccj's etc. As it applied to me and with Christmas approaching I applied for £1000 online. The next day I received a letter telling me I had been provisionally approved for my loan and needed to pay £49.95 as an acceptance fee. This made me doubt my next move as if I could have the money then why don't they just give it to me. I shouldn't have to pay them money when i'm the one already ...

Well I wish I had read these reviews first. I too have used Tenant Loans, really convincing rep said you pay £50 admin fee we guarantee you a loan, what she did not tell me is that you need a guarantor and the apr is outrageous.
I have emailed them stating i was totally mislead and i want my money back i doubt very much i will get it how an earth are these people allowed to operate is beyond me.

I received a letter after applying to tenant loans stating that I was likely to receive a loan rate for a £1000 of 15.2% and that this would be paid to in less than five working days on receipt of the £49.95 brokerage fee. After paying the fee, I waited for over a week and received an offer with FLM with an APR of 48.7%! As you can imagine, I decided against taking this loan and requested a refund by phoning customer services, I was in a queue for 15 minutes before anyone answered an ...

I was told by Tenants Loans Information www.bad-credit-loans-for-tenants.co.uk that the loan I require was waiting for me and all I had to do was pay the arrangement fee. After the fee was paid, they then they came up with an offer of a third of my requirement if I have a guarantor!!
Tried to call them. After 30 minutes of "you are in a queue" I decided to email as the message said you can email at cumtomerservices@tenantonline.com. the email bounced back and could not be delivered. Had a mail ...

After applying for a loan of £3000 with them, I was told I was guaranteed one and had to pay the £49.50 fee. Being quite keen to get the money, I paid it, only to receive a letter 2 days later saying they could offer me £2000 with a guarantor.

I have requested the fee back from Tenants Loans, as this was longer than 6 months ago, and by law I am entitled to it if I have not taken one of their loans. However, 8 weeks later, I am still waiting.
