Good Points: I been drinking this fine drink for years. But like others I also noticed a slight change in the smell, but it doesn't change the quaility of the drink. If you like recipes with this drink I say go ahead enjoy. You should try it in rum balls, but instead use southern comfort. It's Great!

General comments: 1 package (18.5 ounce size) yellow cake mix
1 package (3.5 ounce size) instant vanilla pudding mix
    4 eggs
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    1/2 cup Southern Comfort liqueur
    1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

    Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray one 9-inch bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Combine the cake mix, instant vanilla pudding, eggs, milk, oil, Southern Comfort and chopped walnuts. Beat for 2 minutes. Then pour batter into the prepared pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes then invert onto a cake dish and enjoy.

I've been drinking Southern Comfort for a good few years now, but over the past year or so I've noticed a distinct change in the flavour, but most of all in the aroma. What have they done to this first class drink? Does anybody know??

Southern Comfort is a very distinct and unusual spirit. It's whiskey-like with a spicy fruity taste and it mixes well with lemonade. It's definitely a love-or-hate type of drink which is great for cold winter evenings or after-dinner for those of us who like the smell but not so much the taste of a full-on whiskey.
