Good Points: The best thing about Pernod is the taste. Makes an excellent drink in summer when it's boiling hot outside (not that it ever is down here but still!).
Bad Points: Potential chance that you'll get drunk again the next morning when you drink anything at all. However, some people may regard this as a good thing.
General comments: Although a little expensive, the high quality and small amount of Pernod needed to get you drunk balances it out. I recommend buying over in France if possible, it's much cheaper over there, and if you can't find Pernod look for Ricard instead.
Also very good in risotto instead of white wine.
