    Delia Smith's Christmas has got to be the ultimate guide to Christmas cooking, it's one of those books that every mum seems to have! I have to say I've always found Delia's recipe's a bit over complicated but as Christmas is the time when you put a real effort into dinner; this is a great book to have. There's a plethora of scrumptious delights in here and recipes that can be used for special occasions throughout the year; my particular favourite is the red cabbage with spices and apple - a spectacular accompaniment to any roast dinner (if you have a spare three hours).

    A timeless classic and one that any cook shouldn't be without.

    Delia Smith provides helpful timetables and useful ingredients to go with the wide range of sumptuous recipes which take you through the entire holiday season and gives you new ideas and old classics.
