Ok, drambuie is great...no question. My ? is... why change the look of the bottle after all these years? It just looks like a very cheap bottle of booze now. The bottle had character, was appealing and had eye-candy! I keep the original bottle (empty of course) displayed behind my bar just to remind me how beautiful it was. My motto is, (read more)

Drambuie is a sweet whiskey drink using honey and, so it is said, spices. It tastes good either on the rocks or neat. As stated, people that don't care for whiskey will probably give Drambuie a try. Most people I've served Drambuie to become fans of it's taste.
I recently purchased a 750ml bottle and was reminded of sharing a bottle and rehearsing in a unheated studio with my band. The good times add to the distinctive taste of this whiskey variant.

Drambuie is sweet and sticky like syrup. Tastes absolutely disgusting at any temperature except for when it has been chilled and is poured onto three nice blocks of ice. Stick to jello shots or baileys if you find Drambuie undrinkable except when ice cold, leave the good stuff for the rest of us.

Exactly right. Pity they don't sell a limited amount in the original bottle design. The original bottle with the deep dark brown glass made it uncertain what was left which I kinda liked. Also the red top with the cork (or latterly the screw type) was quality chunky. The rich colours of the label with the reds and golds smacked of quality and expense. I have an original bottle that I refill.
