Well, I have SUPER oily skin (particularly my forehead and nose). I don't get really bad acne, so much as black heads and these really big bumps under my skin that hurt super bad. The issue is, every treatment I've ever taken works for about 4-12 days max, just enough to clear it up a little and make me think it's working, but then my skin goes straight back to how it was. My mom told me about how well Clearasil worked for her as a teen, so I started using this every night after I shower. Just night. After about two weeks or so it's gotten rid of my really oily skin, and my skin is still pretty soft and got a really nice look to it. I guess that I needed something pretty hardcore. It does burn when I put it on, but I guess it's tightening up my pores because my blackheads are almost all gone and I'm not getting the bumps anymore. Not something for people with sensitive skin, I don't think, but it's good with people like me with oily, tougher skin that doesn't find much success in tea tree oil ( it just makes my skin oilier and doesn't do anything for me) and people who don't mind a little bit of a burn. :)

I have large pores on my cheeks and nose (though the dermatologist says they are moderately sized) and tend to get blackheads easily. This was one of the worst products I tried. While it did clean my face and get rid of some oil, it didn't help with my blackheads. I found that using home remedies I have found online works the best for me at this. I would not try this again, which is a shame because it is from a well known acne treatment company.

I brought this product after an abudance of spots appeared all over my face I was so worried after using clearasil my skin started to clear up extremely well but I NOTICED THAT MY SKIN WAS UNUSALLY DRY AND AS A RESULT DUE TO THE EXTREME HAZARDOUS NATURE OF THIS PARTICULAR PRODUCT MY SKIN LOOKED LIKE I HAD - HAD A CHEMICAL BURN WHICH WAS ITCHY SORE , SENSETIVE TO TOUCH WEATHER AND IS NOW IN THE PROCESS OF HEALING THANKS TO BIO-OIL

After an outbreak of spots I started using clearasil deep gel wash, after use morning and night as instructed for around a week I found my spots had all but disappeared, however they had been replaced by an abundance of dry skin around my mouth and chin, as the product had drained my skin of all moisture. Making matters worse due to the state of my skin basic moisturizers only led to my face stinging and almost my entire face excluding the forehead and immedeately around the mouth going red.

I've been using Clearasil's weird gel thing previously (too lazy to go and look it up, it's the blue stuff) and that's worked pretty well. But this is just awful. I haven't been using it for very long and already I have twice the amount of spots I had before I started. I really wouldn't recommend this.

I am in my teens and get the occasional spot here and there on my face but have a very spotty forehead due to having very greasy hair (although this wasn't too much of a concern as my fringe covered them anyway). I began to get a lot of blackheads on my nose, and decided i needed to do something about it. I seen the advert for Clearasil Deep Pore Cleansing wash and thought it was worth a try. My first shock was the fact that it was almost £6, which for such a small bottle seemed ridicoulous! I have been using the product every night (not morning and night like it says on the bottle) for the last 2 nights and i must say it has already removed many of my blackheads, and has made my forehead noticeably clearer. With this in mind, I must say I'm very impressed with the product. However, Tbe product has made my skin feel very dry and tight so i would recommend using a good moisturiser after use.

It is good, but i would say it should be used only once a day, not twice, and with a really good moisturiser otherwise your skin goes really dry, red and flaky. It was also quite expensive for what you get. Instead i'd recommend Clearasil Skin Perfecting Wash, its way cheaper and works better. Another plus: it doesn't sting when you use it either because it's gentler.

i bought this a week ago, this product didnt make my skin tight or sore or anything. when i applied it to face, it felt a little stingy, thought it did maybe because it was working. i continued to apply for 3 days then it seems it only increased the spots more.
this is one of the worst products.
i have researched about spots and i would recommend buying Tea Tree oil products, or coconut oil. these oil r healthy for skin too.
dont buy clearasil

i bought clearasil ultra for my 14 year old son, the first night it burnt him and the second night his skin was inflamed and so dry his skin became hard. This was three nights ago and he now cannot use the product.

the thing is Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Wash also makes my skin tight and stings when i apply it but it works really well after 3-4 days my face is a lot clearer and not so oily. The thing with clearasil its not designed so much for acne but whiteheads, blackheads etc. If your using it and it starts making your skin flaky all you need to do is apply clearasil then once its set apply moisturiser ever morning and night which will keep your face soft and will stop the dry area flaking up

I constantly get spots, blackheads, and pimples, so I thought I'd buy clearasil ultra to quickly get rid of them, as said on most of the adverts. As I began to use it, I realised my skin started to sting. It felt all tight. I just ignored it, hoping that this meant it was working. After about four days, I realised my skin was flaky, sore, and dry. I chucked it in the bin, and began to use moisturiser to get my skin smooth again. You can buy this if you want, but i suggest you don't. I would never recommend this to anyone after what happened to me.

At first, for about 1 or 2 days, this product did nothing to my skin. After I used it, it made my skin feel really tight and shiny. But after about 3 or 4 days, I noticed that my skin was really tight all the time and it began to feel really sore and flakey around the nose. Now my skin is really, really sore all over my face and I'm now using E45 to try and get my skin back to how it was before I started using this product. And it hasn't even made my spots go away. I was also using Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Wash the recommended 2 times a day.
I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. I've never had sensitive skin before, and I've used a lot of skin products in my time, but this is the first one to really irriate my skin. Waste of money.

Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Wash didn't seem to have any effect at removing any spots at all.

i have only been using clearasil ultra deep pore treatment wash for 2 days and i must admit im starting to see a change already... but then again most of the other comments reported more spots and soreness.
When i think about it my face does feel slightly sore (feels like minor sunburn).

Absolutely ridicolous! Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Wash was so expensive aswell, and it gave NO results whatsoever. I'm furious- my spots have only increased. No one buy this product!!!

I only had a few spots, so I used Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Wash... it gave me more spots. My partner told me it's normal to get worse before it gets better, so I stuck to it. 2 weeks later (after twice a day) the spots had gone back to the way they were when I started, but my skin was so dried up I had dark, very sore, very dry skin under my eyes... I looked like I'd been beaten up, deprived of sleep and 10 years older and I'm only 22!

Have been using Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Wash for about 3 months. After washing my skin feels clearer, however my spots don't seem to be reduced. They redness is reduced a little but I think the "Works in 3 days" it's a bit inaccurate. It seems to try out the spots and bring up white heads.

I started using Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Treatment Wash three weeks ago, and it is really working well for me. I use it twice a day, and it leaves my skind feeling really smooth. The only downside of this product is sometimes I feel like it irritates the sensitive skin around my nose and makes spots happen there- everywhere else its working great. I recomend this product to people who dont get many spots but want to keep there skin clear, im not sure it would clear proper acne.
Also, I feel like the 'gets to work in three days' claim isnt entirely true. It took about a week for the possitive effects to really show through. So dont expect that to really happen! Stick with it for a couple of weeks if you want to see the effects. At only close to £4 for a good sized bottle, why not give it a go?
