Please don't ever make me watch this film again. Im surprised at how positive the other reviews were.
I found it extremely dull and tiresome.
It was slow, tortured and gnerally I couldn't watch to run out of the cinema screaming, "Free..... free at last...."
I wouldn't bother if I were you.

Wonderful reviews here of this unexpectedly great film - King Kong. It's a good movie too, but holds up as a "meaningful" film. So well done, I saw it again. As it's starting to disappear from theaters, perhaps one more time, just to help figure out some of the thinking that went into the production.
Phew.
Thanks for the reviews,

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA may have roared louder at the North American box office this past Christmas, but if you ask me, the true king of the holiday movie jungle was this sprawling, triumphant remake of the 1933 classic. Proving that his LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy was no fluke, Peter Jackson is the rare director who can pull off an FX-heavy spectacle without sacrificing heart. The film certainly doesn't skimp on eye-popping visuals and rollicking action sequences (Kong's lengthy brawl with a tr ...- Read Timix1's review (313 words)

The latest King Kong movie is fantastic! I thought it was going to be just like the last one, but I was so wrong!! It's sad and funny, and there are some fast moving parts. King Kong is not horrid, in fact he is loving and caring.
A brilliant film! Recommended!- Read mum5's review (64 words)

King Kong is a fantastic film! I really enjoyed it. It combines adventure, sacrifice, unseen places, and it is very emotional. I think it is a very successful version of the original KING KONG.- Read Jannette Smith's review (39 words)

King Kong was very good. It was very well scripted and casted too. Jack Black is almost perfect for his role, and the way that the movie mixes being an epic and a very fun adventure is good too. The special effects, as you would expect are brilliant, and Peter Jackson does stick to the original very well, except the actresses (Naomi Watts) lover is changed from the ships first mate to the films script writer (Adrien Brody).
There were only a few problems... Some of the actors, such as Naomi W ...- Read Liam thomas's review (188 words)

King Kong is the best film of 2005 and 2006! I laughed, hid my face in fear (and stomach wrenching scenes of violence), and at the end I cried like a baby. The entire cast was excellent, and the direction was so outstanding, that you thought you were watching a true story in real time. Kong was the best actor of all (hats off to Andy Serkis - for Kong, and for the unfortunate Lumpy). Yet through it all Kong kept reminding me of Sean Connery, don't ask me why, he just had a way about him! Na ...- Read lexy1210's review (135 words)
