Good Points: Good points are, as you are making it, you can make as much as you want.
Bad Points: No bad points, as you are not going to blame yourself are you??
General comments: Mulled Wine - the best Chrismasy winter warmer there is - forget your Egg Nog this year.
To make enough for four people - one glass each (though I would say this is probably better for two, if you are anything like me!).
One bottle of red wine (use cheap red plonk, as you are going to flavour it anyway), a very good dash of brandy, mulled wine spice (various bags can be bought in most supermarkets - look around the herbs and spices section), large piece of cinnamon, sugar to taste, large wedges of apples and oranges, good splosh of fresh orange juice.
Put all ingredients into a large saucepan and heat gently until sugar has melted and your kitchen is smelling divine. Pour into large irish coffee glasses, and simply enjoy.
Also recommended - turn the heating off in the house after a few glasses, and you will be hot enough after these!!
A great winter warmer, especially if you have been out walking, or even great curled up by the fire with a loved one!!!
