    Good Points: color and pattern on cover, design/shape, voice commands, light, UV light and invisible ink marker


    Bad Points: small journal, marker bleeds through so you can only write on one side of page with it (use a pencil or pen for most writing, and the marker for private stuff)


    General comments: Personally, I find no difficulty whatsoever in setting the password for my Girl Tech Password Journal. I only had to go through the whole setup once, and didn't have to repeat a thing. There are other people who have said it's nearly impossible to get theirs to work. I can't agree with that. Also, I love the design! It looks cool (even if I dislike the color), and there's plenty of room on the inside covers to decorate. Also, the secret compartment is roomy, and it even has a removable piece so you can change the size of the different sections. I like how everything is voice activated, and I haven't had a problem with it. I also had the original Password Journal, and I find this to be a huge improvement, though I loved my old one to death, too!

    This password journal was working fine until my daughter's password recording got a bit muffled and therfore the journal would not open, she got really frustrated.........after 20 minutes trying numerous things I eventually cracked a way to open it......

    The trick is to use an open paperclip and push it between where the journal opens as there is a little catch than can be pushed in....You can then re-record your password.

    We will be taking ours back. We have tried since Christmas day, 8 days ago to set our password and it will not accept anything from 3 different people. My daughter is very upset that we cannot get it to work and frankly I am to for the price that we paid. The biggest rip off since water!!

    Just a waste of money in my opinion, i set the password and it still wont open, that was last march. Ive not even wrote a word in it yet.

    I love it, my child loves it too. Its a good way to keep things secret. The Girl Tecyh Password Journal is a great idea and great piece of fun. Definitely recommend to all kids who like things like these.

    My girls were heartbroken after setting the password to find it didn't open! We even tried to set the password from a recording so it was exactly the same every time, but it still only opens now and then. The room has to be silent, no background noise at all otherwise it picks it up. They got so frustrated with them that they never play with them anymore, I can't do anything with them as they were birthday presents. I would strongly advise against buying one!

    We bought this and could not get the date or time set. We got a replacement and it's no better. We can't set the date or time and it only recognises the password about 50% of the time.

    Even if it did work it would be an overpriced lump of plastic but with constant TV advertising all little girls want one.

    i might be getting it soon. Its good because its voice controlled and is so cool but you have to remember the exact tone of you voice to open it, if it doesnt work im getting a refund.

    The Girl Tech Password Journal 4 has a nice light. Unfortunately, I can't open it with the password and there are not enough pages.

    It is near impossible for young children to repeat a word EXACTLY, which is what is needed to get the Girl Tech Password Journal 4 open!!
    Christmas day - number 1 present on my daughters list, and she is reduced to tears because this won't work.

    VERY disappointed!!

    The Girl Tech Password Journal 4 is a huge waste of money in my opinion!!!! My aunt wasted a lot of money on this for my little sister, as the second day it broke!

    I like the Girl Tech Password Journal. You can write secrets in it. Unfortunately, if you forget the password, you have to break the journal.

    I think the Voice recognition is so bad. It took us forever to set the password. Then we spent 20 minutes trying to set the date. We finally gave up and took it back. We dropped it just a little onto the carpet a little bit and the cover came off the hinges.

    This was the biggest waste of money that my daughter spent. The Girl Tech Password Journal 4 is very difficult to open by voice command if your tone etc... isn't exactly the same each time. She spends more time trying to open or reset, or set the date & time, only to be told it didn't work. Don't waste your money!!
