Good Points: Humorous; Easy to read; Brilliant anecdotes about life; Sarcastic wit
Bad Points: Can be slightly confusing if you do not pay attention; Hitchhiking itself is somewhat dated; Not to everyone's taste with sarcastic wit
General comments: Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was made into radio shows and films is a classic sci-fi comedy. It describes the life of Arthur Dent and his dreadful experiences with the end of the world coming and his only escape with his alien friend Ford Prefect. He ends up hitching a ride off the planet, and so comes a multitude of experiences. Douglas Adams wrote with a very simple style that makes this book a very quick read, but thoroughly entertaining so long as you understand sarcastic humour. Otherwise you will be lost.
