I took out the M&S card due to the 0% initial offer on purchases as I was anticipating large outgoings and a lean time with the end of tax year nad a new job. The voucher incentives seemed a bonus. I was surprised I could not get loyalty points if I purchased other than on the card. Also I was disappointed in my credit limit - less than half monthly take home pay.
The final nail in the coffin is the comlexities of using all the vouchers with so many Ts & Cs so I can't use this voucher for that or that one for this and as the minutes tick by I think "my time is worth more than this".
With tesco vouchers you can go there any week and find something you need - with M&S it just doesn't happen - I can go 6 months without any signifiant needs in their store and actually our local department store is so much better stocked I'd not usually bother with M&S so I think it is back to using the cashback card I have and the M&S will soon be closed.

I recently received a letter informing me that a Marks and Spencer Loyalty Card had been inactive for a period of time and that your company just required confirmation that it was still in possession. I duely telephone your helpline to inform you that I did have the card but unfortunately my wife had died last July. Th operator was unbelievably rude and insensitive to my situation and demanded to know why the card had not been cancelled immediately. I firmly replied that I had a little more on m ...- Read Guest's review (182 words)

I was talked into this card by the assistant when I was paying for a pair of trousers. I was offered a bottle of wine as an incentive. It soon became clear that it was more than a loyalty card and that it was, first and foremost, a credit card. The assistant assured me that i did not need to use that part of the facility, that I should use it just as a loyalty card. This was, knowingly or unknowingly, I know not which, inaccurate. If you don't pay using this card, you do not get loyalty points. ...- Read Guest's review (214 words)

I shop weekly at your store and find the staff friendly and helpful but I must say I did prefer the store the way it was in the food hall (green as it was fresh looking and clean) instead of the black as I find it very depressing, the rest of the store is fine but the food hall is too dark. Also can't understand why collect by car in store has been moved to the far side of the store making it longer for staff to take the boxes, they should have been left where they were as when store is busy box ...- Read Guest's review (188 words)

The usual 1 point for every £1 spend at M&S, 1 point for every £2 spend elsewhere. 100 points equivalent to £1 cash discount voucher. The loyalty scheme is attached to your &MORE credit card, which is not a bad feature that you do not have to carry extra card. However if you did not pay by your &MORE credit card (e.g., cash or other credit card), you will not be able to claim the points back later like some other loyalty cards.
Statements with reward vouchers arrive quarterl ...- Read XX's review (114 words)
