My husband and I booked the Kumuka EU2L 28 day European Tour through our travel agent after my sister recommended it. We were relative novices when it came to travel and were not really sure what to expect from a "tour". We were impressed from day 1 with our coach driver Kev and our guide Susan. We always felt safe in the coach and Susan provided us with invaluable hints on how to make the most of our stay in each town/city. I recall Susan saying that their aim was to give us the confidence to be travellers not tourists. We loved every minute of our trip and highly recommend it to all age travellers. It also helped having a terrific group of people to share it with.

My Yukon/Alaska experience booked through Kumuka was by far the most inspiring I have been on. The expanse and the wide open spaces filled my heart and made me realise that there is so much natural beuty that must be preserved to be cherised by future generations. I had a mind-boggling blast! I feel that certain details do need to be shared with travellers though - small specifics that make the difference eg some places charge to use the shower, there is no running water in other places etc - th ...- Read monikak's review (168 words)

The tour was great. Worth every dollar. Activities were amazing the national parks and wildlife was undescribable and just felt like a dream. Our tour leader and driver worked together to make the most out of this trip for us. The itineray was well planned out and worked great, even with a few bumps (the truck breaking down)- Read Guest's review (58 words)

Our trip to Everest Base Camp that we booked was a life long dream that I had been wanting to do since the late 70s. The trip did not start out the best as the hotel Kumuka had booked us into was right above a very noisy night club so needless to say, there was no sleep the first night until past 2:00am. From then on though the trip was well organized, super highlights, guides and porters were first class all the way. The guides were always there for you if needed. The porters went out of their ...- Read Guest's review (119 words)

I attended the 'Asia Explorer' (AST7) tour through Kumuka at the beginning of 2009. This was an enjoyable, well structured and paced tour of Asia. Each place was so unique, and our local guides were exceptionally knowledgable and friendly. It was great to enjoy the experience in comfort and without having to worry about a thing!
As this is a more expensive tour, which includes more of the luxuries of western living, the majority of my travel companions were much older.. so if you're a young tra ...- Read cjscape's review (109 words)

I travelled to Vietnam with Kumuka and the tour involved seeing Hanoi, Sapa and Halong Bay. While Hanoi and Halong Bay were great, Sapa was the definite highlight. The tour involved trekking through the minority hilltribes and staying with two different families along the way. The trek, the sights and our tour guide exceeded all my expectations. The tour was personalised and given the small group size we were able to tailor the trip to things we wanted to do, and change it along the way. The ...- Read hailey spry's review (129 words)

The Caravan Route ticked all the right boxes for my partner and I, taking us to all the big highlights of Egypt and Jordan, including Petra, Pyramids and temples, but also taking us away from the crowds. We slept under the stars in the beautiful white desert, chilled out for 2 days sailing in a felluca and went diving in the red sea. Our tour guide and driver were great! we'd definitely recommend this trip to anyone who doesn't mind "roughing it" a little in order to get good value for money (a ...- Read Guest's review (112 words)

My entire experience with Kumuka from the first phone call to the followup after my trip was terrific. Friendly, knowledgable staff helped me to select the right trip for me and it was everything I expected and more! I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff, the quality of the entire experience was great. Not a luxury trip by any means but I wanted adventure and to see Africa and that is exactly what I experienced. We felt safe and yet not sheltered from reality. I would definitel ...- Read sarasaurus's review (93 words)

Our tour guide was a locat named Vuttha and he could nto have been more helful and fantastic. He was always willing to change plans for us and accomodate us in any manner. He knew about the local knowledge and went out of his way to assist us in any way possible. I could not recommend him and the tour of Cambodia any higher and I would often see our guide reading up on info so he would help us with any questions we have.
Kumuka should be proud to have a tour guide like him, and they shoudl defi ...- Read chocolatelover's review (105 words)

Me and my Fiance did the Egypt to Jordan trip in May with Mike (Driver) and Reece (Tour Leader) I have done an Africa Trip before and booked with Kumuka because my last trip was flawless and was so much fun. I and my Fiance were not dissapointed, EVERYTHING lived up to my previous Experience with kumuka andmore.
Everything was organised very well, which ment all we had to do is have fun and enjoy our trip, just what a Holiday / Tour should be like.
Thanks guys you made our trip a true life long ...- Read haydsaffy's review (99 words)

I was on the Central Europe - EU2L 28 day tour around Europe with Kumuka and it was incredible! My tour guide and driver (Susan and Kev) genuinely enjoy what they do and because of that they are both knowledgeable and passionate. I found it good value for money and much easier than organising myself. I was travelling on my own but the Kumuka was group great and I'm still friends with some people from my tour..
I also love the fact that we can send in our own pics to appear in the brochure - I'v ...- Read jess8216's review (158 words)

My Kumuka experience was excellent. Booking online was easy and the price quoted is what you pay. There are no hidden fees or local payments to make. Their customer service was excellent and my local booking office gave me some tips on booking local hotels.
On the tour the tour leader was great, really very helpful, and kept us all on the right track, keeping control of situations and generally being available for help. When things went wrong (as they do in South America), she was able to s ...- Read Guest's review (111 words)

Thinking of travelling through Africa, but not sure how to go about it? So was I, and now I have an amazing bank of memories!!! I took a tour from Kenya down to Cape Town, the 8 week "Best of Africa" tour, and travelling with Kumuka meant that there were experienced and fun filled enthusiastic tour guides to take care of all the things you don't want to stress about - border crossings, where to exchange currency, how much to exchange and the value, the best camping locations, markets, introducti ...- Read Neetka's review (128 words)

My wife and I did a Kumuka tour of Egypt,We where met at Cairo airport and looked after for the whole 7 day tour. This is not a trip we would have ventured on without local support and knowledge, two guides where excellent, the third, through Karnak and Luxor was not as enthusiastic!
Travel arrangements went without a hitch, the Cruise down the Nile was the highlight, the overnight train was interesting! And no problems with any of the food. The only time we felt nervous was arrival and departure ...- Read Guest's review (118 words)

I have been a travel Agent for 5 years and have always found Kumuka very helpful and a very easy product to sell.
There wide range of products make it a company that can suite most types of clients we have coming into our agency, as well as a good variety of tours with a good mix of travel lengths.
I recently took a Kumuka tour around India and found the level of hotels and transport to be very good.
The tour operator we had was very knowledgable and very helpful and made the experience that ...- Read Guest's review (136 words)

For a first time trip overseas (we travelled through europe) it was an awesome way to ease into travelling.
Bus rides were fun, informal ways of getting to know the country, the tour leaders and the travelling group. Each stop consisted of at least two nights (at main stops) with a guided tour and group meal the first night - allowing for plenty of discussion of what to visit on the next day.
The greatest benefit of Kumuka's tour over the other companies (why we chose it) was that there was ti ...- Read megazz's review (222 words)

Sitting alone one night, contemplating my lifetime yearned for trip to Africa, and realising my dream was about to come true, I remembered that while we would be on Safari, it would mark the 10th year of our wedding. My thoughts started racing, to how I could make this a memorable moment in our dream holiday.
I quickly contacted my travel agency and proposed the idea. They in turn contacted Kumuka in Nairobi, who in turn contacted the team at Intrepids Siana Springs Tented Camp where we were st ...- Read attobrig's review (924 words and 1 comment)

I did the Livingstones Africa trip last year. Kumukas employees made the tour the best. There werent many excursions after the game parks as we had to cover 5 countries in 28 days but both Kanyo and Oni made the whole trip so much fun. They told us stories of the local customs. The tour would have been good without them but it was fantastic, out of this world with them. Im planning on booking another 3-4 holidays with Kumuka as a result.
Kanyo was always asking how we were and offering to make u ...- Read Guest's review (168 words)
