With the capacity to store 15000 songs, 25000 photos and 150 hours of video, the Apple iPod Video is set to be a big success. The 60 gig version is the premier model of the iPod Video range and is a revamped version of the classic iPod with the added bonus of the video facility. This sleek video player can also take photo's, fit in your pocket and has an impressive battery life of 20 hours. The newest member of the iPod clan could well turn out to be a "must-have" product for music lovers everywhere.

Good Points: Good quality colour screen and better quality sound. I can actually watch and get into a movie. Massive hdd. Ease of use all round.
Bad Points: Trying to keep the chrome back clean and unmarked. itunes inability to access the internet to retrieve album art.
General comments: The Apple iPod Video 60GB is good but love it. I would definately recommend one.

I've had a 60GB iPod Video for over a year now. It is definitely worth the money and still the lead in the industry. It is easy to use and easy to understand. I find though that some games are hard to play and some audio books are hard to set up in system. It's also easy to scratch the glass face.

It's an Apple iPod so you know the deal - it looks and plays superb. This time the memory gets a massive boost to 80gb which might be a bit overkill for your average music collection. The model I have is the iPod Video - if you want it just to play music then I would suggest going for a smaller sized model - the new Nano with a very reasonable 8gb might be best.
It's smooth, sleek, sexy and works well which is why it's the best MP3 player on the market.

A good product overallI am very happy owning the Ipod 60 gb,it can store many songs and a whole collection of photograps. I use it when I go to the gym and also to so many places.Since my car music system is Ipod compatible,I listen to songs from my Ipod without having to carry so many CD's.

The first thing that you notice about the ipod 5g is the amount of memory considering the size. A lot of other mp4 players are about twice the size of this ipod. This ipod is also a lot cheaper than other mp4 players which can go up to a price of about £450. The screen is still not as big as you would want when watching videos, but it is bigger than other models of the ipod. The biggest downside to this ipod is the battery life. It is more than enough when you are listening to music but is ...

Using a Windows PC, it was always a pain loading the old iPod, which would often run out of power before loading. With the new Video version the power feeds through the USB, which gets around the problem. It's amazing what such a small device can hold. The Apple iPod Video is excellent value all round, but do go for the 60Gb version if you're going to watch lots of videos on it.

I have been indifferent to the iPod revolution in recent years, because I already owned an Archos Jukebox and knew little about the iTunes system. My wife bought me an iPod Shuffle for Christmas, and my exposure to the Apple world has led to the purchase of a black iPod 60Gb Video. Here's my view of the pro's and con's.

I regret that I will have to return the iPod Video model MA147LL that I purchased, due to a serious software bug and/or design flaw. When playing tracks that are meant to flow continuously from one into the next, the iPod interrupts the sound and blanks out for a moment between tracks. It does this EVEN WHEN RIPPED TO .WAV files, which do NOT have this problem with other manufacturer's players. HOW could such a serious design issue pass quality control and get out undetected, and or unfixed f ...

The world's best music player just became even better with the addition of video capability! Although the Apple iPod video only supports MPEG-4 and H.264 video, with some effort it is possible to convert other formats such as avi and DivX so that the iPod understands them. Just like the previous iPod's, the controls are easy and intuitive, and the player is even more thin and sleek than before. I highly recommend this product!
