Good Points: Despite a few flaws, the general design of this bag is great. It is a backpack that's basically triangular in shape with vented side compartments (one for each skate) on two sides of the triangle, while the third side lies flat against your back. The middle of the triangle is just like a normal bag in which to put things like gloves, purse/wallet, bottle of water, etc. It comes in two sizes. The smaller size is fine for a pair of child or adult hockey skates, and large adult figure skates just fit. The smaller size has enough space to hold a sweater or even a rolled up jacket, as well as the items listed above (gloves, etc). The large size is better if you want to carry lots of stuff as well as your skates. It comes in a variety of patterns and colours. It's water-resistant. The vented skate pockets are great for ensuring that skates can air while being stored (don't forget to use soft blade covers as normal). It's wonderful having a backpack style bag to carry skates.
Bad Points: * the stitching and zippers are not high quality. On both my bags, and also on those of others at my rink with these bags, the stitching has started to fray after a short period of use (eg. being used 15-20 times). This is particularly bad on the backpack straps, which soon start looking dilapidated with the foam falling out, etc. The zippers are also poor quality, and have a tendency to burst open when the bag is full -- not over filled; just normal usage full. * the padding in the backpack straps is of poor quality. It's just ordinary foam that's been covered. Better padding (similar to that found in computer backpacks of a comparable price) would be greatly alppreciated. * the bag shoud probably be a bit deeper so as to fit better on an adult back. For kids, it's fine. * the bag is expensive. At this price one would expect far better quality.
General comments: I love this bag because it's a clever design and it's a backpack for carrying my skates.
However, I think the bag quality is poor compared with that of ordinary backpacks and computer backpacks at this sort of price.
I will continue using this bag because I haven't found anything better. However, there's definitely an opening in the market for an improvement on this model.

The Transpak skate bag looks really nice, and comes in several different colours and two different sizes (one for figure skates, and one for hockey and roller skates). It can take a while to get used to this bag, as the skates fit in the side pockets in a side ways upside down position that can take a while to master. The bags are quite expensive, however it is worth the money as it is much easier to carry these than the traditional one shoulder skate bag. The centre compartment can begin to sme ...
