Good Points: There is nothing good about this.

General comments: Because of the First National Bank of Marin, I as a single parent, am unable to qualify for a home loan, to obtain a home for my kids. They kept charging me fees after you cancel the card. When you prove to one collection agency that the balance is paid in full, First National Bank of Marin sends it to another collection agency and the cycle starts over again.

Sorry is the only word that comes to mind when I hear First National Bank of Marin. Because of my credit history I was treated as a common criminal when someone stole my identity and charged a card up. They would not even try to help. They were rude and nasty.

Do no business with Credit One Bank or Bank of Marin. I opened my "Secured" account in 2002 and used it to buy a $215 power saw. Not only did I give them $600 to secure the card, with monthly charges the fees added to about $179 per year. I tried to cancel the card but was transferred on the phone to a extension that just said all agents are busy please hold. Frustrated, I called the main number and asked for a manager and cancelled my card with her. I paid the balance, check by phone and t ...

I have to say I don't have one single thing to say good about this credit card company and I hope anybody about to get this credit card reads this and other post you all have posted, here's me story of this scheme to get money out of people! One day I was reading the paper and saw an add for this credit card all you have to do is send this 50.00 dollars and they'll send you up to a 5000.00 credit limit " first mistake " you never trust a credit card company that wants money first and I finally g ...

I make my monthly credit card payments online through my banks bill pay option. One month, FNBN aka: Credit One Bank said my payment was late, and I was charged a late fee. My banks online payment proved that my payment was not late, and showed my payment was received and cleared nine days before the payment was due. My bank contacted First National Bank of Marin aka: Credit One Bank, and the late fee was removed. If possible, always pay your account online through YOUR banks online bill pay. NE ...

I was contacted by mail from a representation of First National Bank of Marin regarding opening a secured credit card account with them. They kept calling me to see if I wanted to received a credit card and to send the papers back. Each month my payments were on time, since I processed it over the phone, and for that, they not only took the funds immediately out of my checking account, but also charged me an extra $5.00 processing fee to do so. They also charged me an extra $29.00 because of ...

My ex-wife got the First National Bank of Marin credit card in both our names and I cancelled 2 days later. I never used it, and 9 years later it's still on my credit report as a charge for non-payment.

The First National Bank of Marin charge late fees when not late. I requested, after three years, a credit limit increase, which was denied. I went online and paid it off. They are now trying to charge me a late fee.

Same here, I pay my account every month online at the same time. All of a sudden First National Bank of Marin charge me $29.00 and say that I made my payment late. I asked if they could wave the late charge because I have never made a late payment and they refused. If they need the $29.00 so bad they can have it. I have since cancelled my credit card and I can only hope that they go bankrupt! lolol

The First National Bank of Marin credit card charged me a $29.00 late fee for paying my account ON THE DUE DATE. I paid my account online (and was charged an additional 5.95 for paying online). How can my payment be LATE if it was paid ON OR BEFORE the due date?

The First National Bank of Marin credit card card is easy to use, with very low monthly fees and yearly fee. BUT, their customer services staff are very unhelpful! My bill was due today, and I was charged a late fee of $29.00. However, I called to make a payment, since I was told the payment I sent off on Wednesday had not posted yet. I have never heard of a person being charged a late fee when you are tying to make a payment ON your due date!!

I have found mixed reviews to First National Bank of Marin, and have personally not found any issue with their service. Having read about the prior history of FNMB, I entered into an agreement with them like walking on broken glass.
