“wrongly advertised and bad staff at call centre”

booked with travel republic a single deluxe with BATH AND FREE WI FI when booking arrived it was a single standard. I contacted the call centre and was told there was nothing they could do I explained I was not happy even my husband got on the phone but it fell on deaf ears when I got there the hotel had no accommodation for me and transferred me to another hotel which was totally sub standard . Hi me and my girlfriend booked a hotel through Travel Republic(the 1st time and last I hope) 2 weeks before travel. All was good and they confirmed it but then 20 hours before the check in they changed to another hotel then upon arrival changed to yet another hotel which was ok-ish but THE location completely unsuitable. My wife and I booked the hotel through travel Republic. The price was fantastic so we didn't hesitate to book the deal. Thinking we had a great deal we also informed our son and his girlfriend. They also booked the hotel even though the pair of them are students. We received confirmation of the hotel and were very happy. We booked a holiday to Santorini in January. We checked the booking the week before as one of the party was on crutches and they assured it was fine. However whilst we were on the plane and landed they were phoning and emailing telling us the hotel was overbooked and they had moved us. One email gave our new hotel details in Lisbon! “A MAJOR "RIP OFF" COMPANY - BEWARE!!!”

This company use third parties for everything, this in turn excludes them from accepting the blame when things go wrong with your holiday. Asking for more money after you have booked is their latest trick. They are vile people, who have no genuine interest in you or your hard earned holiday. They will not help you/return calls etc and certainly have no compunction about leaving you stranded and way out of pocket. “Beware increases prices after booking and confirmation”

Please avoid this company, travel republic have been trusted for many years however due to recent reports on trip advisor and my own personal experience I would like to take this opportunity to warn others who are thinking of booking with this company. Hi, sorry to hear about this. It looks like you hired a car with a full to empty fuel policy, but £134.12 still sounds high. Maybe the car hire company sold you collision damage excess waiver at the airport. We are currently taking steps to make the fuel policy as clear as possible during the booking process, so customers are better informed.

I booked to stay at Copthorne Hotel Salford on 27th December for 1 night. The night before a close family member was taken ill suddenly and I had to cancel the hotel stay. I was unable to get through to travel republic despite several attempts. I phoned the hotel direct and explained the situation. “outdated dirty hotel should be a two not a four bad...”

This hotel is not a 4 star more like a 2 the beds are worn out and dip int the middle the furniture in the room are old and chipped, the shower is very very dirty inside and out, also the waiting staff give you unwashed glasses,food run out and was not replenished hot food always cold, there are trailing wires in the cake and bread section, the Barbecue children and adults can pass behind and in front when alight and left burning unsupervised,too many broken glasses on the terrace outside the… Read Full Review

My wife booked into this place via your company and paid full price for an abysmal weekend. The hotel said that they only had the most basic information from you and it was in total contrast to what we actually paid for! “Pass the buck service”

Booked a private taxi to take 4 of us from airport to resort. On arrival the taxi company had no details and we ended up on a coach, which took over an hour to get to our hotel. Various emails and calls result in same statement " you ticked the disclosure box, so Travel Republic are not liable" speak about pass the buck. I booked a hotel through these guys and thought it was great to only pay £1 deposit until I found out that when I cancelled I got charged £40 (over 20 days before my stay). This is a terrible travel company. It is fine if your stay was enjoyable but their complaints procedure is deliberately difficult. You cannot speak to an advisor but have to do all complain resolution by email. This seems to mean that they can be incredibly slow (taking a month to respond to my complaint) and then they can get away with being unhelpful as there is no actual contact with the customer.
