Good Points: Friendly and helpful service. Decent and clean accommodation recommended. Knowledge of the products being sold. Open till late to do bookings.
General comments: I liked the way that the lady that dealt with my bookings, listened to what I needed and then searched for the most suitable hotels in both the areas that I was looking for and the price range that I wanted. I found her friendly, helpful and very informative and what she told us was exactly what we got. Fantastic to get an honest recommendation of what one is buying for a change. This goes a long way to making for a really enjoyable and hassle free holiday, even when travelling on a fairly tight budget.

Had heard quite good reviews about this company and decided to give them a go. Booking the holiday took a long time as my agent hadn't a clue. The company then took funds from my account without my authorisation and I had one hell of a fight to get it returned. Repeated phone calls to them and promises that managers would get back to me went by the wayside until I finally threatened them with Abta. Never again. I'd rather pay the extra and avoid all the grief.

Booked a holiday in June with Travel Republic over internet, they sent me an email saying flights had gone up in price since time of booking. I wasn't happy about it, but I did agree to pay the extra of £154. Now they are saying I didn't pay for any flights. So they wanted the full amount for flights for 7 people plus the extra £154 on top of the cost of original flights, bearing in mind we had payed flights accommodation and transfer at time of booking. Customer service is not only non existent but the staff and rude and make promises they do not keep. Phone calls and queries are not followed up, messages are not passed on.
This may sound harsh but I have just had a very bad experience with this company following a cancellation of flight made by them. Another flight was offered which I reluctantly accepted on the terms that accommodation and transfers were also changed in accordance. After lots of promises, phone calls, queries complaints etc. ...

I had to cancel my holiday with Travel Republic, as Goldtrail cancelled the flight to another day, they did give alternative flights from other airports, & and different days, but theses were not convenient for us as were could not get the time off from work, after several phone calls, travel republic said I would get a full refund, on checking with my bank, they only refunded the flight price, not the accommodation, phoned them up again after twelve minutes or so, I still could not get any answ ...

We've just come back from Granada park Tenerife and we had a fantastic time. I found Granada park on Travel Republic's website and what a find it was. This is an amazing hotel and Travel Republic gave it to us really cheap so thank you Travel Republic we will definitely be using you again.

I wished to make an alteration to my booking. Nothing had been done after three weeks, despite three more e mails. Trying to get through on the telephone was impossible. I spent a lot of time and money trying. I have cancelled my booking.

Customer service is non existent - they advertise that they take 3 days to answer queries raised on manage your bookings. I have so far waited for a month and they have not yet contacted me about my enquiry. This is despite phoning them on 3 occasions and bringing this to their attention and receiving promises that it would be brought to the attention of the supervisor. They apologise for the delay and as yet have still done nothing.

We were recommended Travel Republic and decided to try them. We weren't disappointed, they were efficient and accurate. We found them very good value and were very pleased with the service they gave and will obviously use them again for future holidays.

I have to say I was more than happy with the service I recieved as I had some concerns with a couple of bad reviews I had read so phoned them and was emailed straight back after they had contacted the hotel and they reassured me that everything was fine, I also had everything I requested and was more than happy. I would recommend them and I will be booking with them again sometime in the near future.

We will use them again, we booked flight and hotel I think they are one of the cheapest and we went where we wanted to go to on the island. People on the phone are very helpful and polite.

All in all excellent holiday, flight with XL was perfect, hotel small but good, breakfast was minimal, but after the first morning we knew what to expect! Return transfer on time, flight was boarded early, and a pleasant journey back to Bristol.

I have not travelled yet but wish to alter my booking and I have tried for 2 weeks to do this on internet and tried for 4 days to get through on the telephone without success. I will not use this company again because of the poor customer service.

Not for people with babies or elderly as uphill and lots of steps.

Customer service was basically non existent - took 5 days to solve my query in which time the price of the flight had gone up £300 - which I had to pay, plus £300 fee from the company I was flying with, and a £40 fee from travel republic.I would never use them again - and will make sure my friends don't either.Stay away!
