I hadn't been to Greece for 15 years, so on a whim I booked a late deal to Lassi in Kephalonia. It was an early flight which was tiring but good as we arrived in time for lunch and a lazy afternoon on the beautiful local beach. I went to the welcome meeting as I had some questions regarding local walks and buses. The rep was very pleasant and knowledgeable and promised to drop some printed information under my door, which she did. This made my holiday as I had a great time walking up the... (read more)

From the moment we arrived at Manchester at 5-20 am for a 8-00 am flight it was utter chaos. The check in desk was not numbered or named & the queue was a mile long. We had a wonderful time on Alonissios, the hotel and island we're amazing, great service, very clean hotel, a beautifully untouched island, we had a lovely relaxing weeks break. The only bad side was the lack of organisation with our flights, we arrived at gatwick in plenty of time as you're told to do. Excellent studios with great views, lovely pool and friendly Greek family running them. Around 10 minutes from Aghia Triada beach - mainly pebbles but clear, turquoise water. Really beautiful. Paleocastritsa is very picturesque - mountains covered in olives and cypress trees. Walk up to Lakones village for stunning views of the coastline. Just returned from a wonderful relaxing break to Kos with Olympic. No major issues and flights and transfers were smooth. Only slight problem was with the carrier, Small Planet, as they were not easy to find at the terminal, being a new airline.
