    September 2009

    I read the details on the web site about the accommodation and decided to visit Fotini Complex, Paleocastritsa, Corfu, our first time to the Island. We had a lovely relaxing holiday, everything was as stated on the web site, the holiday rep was very helpful, especially when we found ourselves at the bottom of a steepish hill during torrential rain, she made sure that we were given transportation up to our rooms.

    A good value holiday.

    the photos in the broucher didnt match what we got the Olympic Holidays rep wasnt very helpful an i would never book with them again it was dissapointing the people who ran the studios were nice but the rooms were rubbish there wasnt a t v an video lounge weve always staded in basic accom but this was less than basic

    Having just returned from a 7 night stay in Demitrius Studios in Kolios Skiathos the holiday was exactly as described in the olympic holiday brochure.

    last years holiday with Olympic Holidays was a holiday from hell. we went to rhodes our accommodation was supposed to be 5 mins from the beach it may have been by zip line but to walk down the mountain it took a minimum 20 mins and that was a an athletic 14 year olds time .the rep is yet to vist the reply to the complaint, filed when we got home pathetic and insulting. plane journey can only be described as an experience.we even had a goat in our apartment it did not stay long there was not eno ...

    Olympic rep couldn't give a damn about our constant complaints of no hot water, other residents complained too, but all she was interested in was their next posting. We officially complained on our return ,by letter to olympic and they were not interested either. They said we shoud read the small print in the brochures and not expect the same standards.     I totally agree with the last person on here, people should read the description of holidays and whats included before they book. 12 o'clock checkout is known worldwide and if you read your paperwork properly it will tell you this. What people forget is that their holiday is a lot cheaper by booking a night flight so yes you should pay extra to keep a room on longer.The reps are only there to try and help people and give advice they are not miracle workers and they do not know everything, they a ...

    To all the people writing these reviews the only people you should blame is yourselfs, research your holiday don't expect everything you read to be true and don't blame the reps for everything! You don't need them in England to board the plane so why do you need them in your resort and to arrange your flight home! Delayed flights are also not any company's fault!     My sister and I visited Akrogiali back in August and it was great!!!!! (Well apart from the last night but all shall be revealed!!).

    Stayed at Charieta apartments in Corfu from July 18 - 2nd Aug. Apartments very very basic not that clean. Main complaint is that we booked a two bedroom apartment and got a one bed with a sectioned off bit of the kitchen area as the 2nd bedroom. Not even or solid door just a sliding plastic partition. No plugs in "kitchen" area but at foot of bed in "bedroom2" towels only changed once a week. Beddings only once a week too.

    Please, please, please, please do not travel Olympic, it may be a few quid cheaper but is it really worth saving £50 on a £1600 holiday? I ended up spending this in the local bar to get over the conversation that I'd just had with them.

    Receptionist (British) and rep (British) were both rude and unhelpful. Terrible attitude, no customer care skills whatsoever. In fact everything was our fault (according to them). We booked 4* self catering through Hays Travel and were expecting a lovely holiday in Cyprus. After flying during the night we arrived at Akti Beach at about 6am.     I don't recommend Olympic. Our outbound flight was delayed 16hrs. The rep didnt show up for the welcome meet which she had arranged and specifically asked us to attend which meant wasted time hanging around the pool area. The rep was hardly ever present and she seemed to be incredibly unknowledgable about anything in the area. We went to Dassia, Corfu which is described as small but lively and picturesque.     My main complaint is that; at 12 noon one had to vacate appt or; pay 20 euro to stay on untill 6pm. As their is no courtesy rooms or room, they had to stay out in the open by poolbar. One family had to wait until, 1.45am from 12 noon, as did most. The night was cold and damp, so I got a quilt and pillow for them. My daughter and family would have been in the same position, but we had an appartment next to hers,so she was able to stay for 11hrs 45min with us.

    A recipe for a ruined holiday. Went Corfu - all inclusive. Dirty, smelly hotel. Shabby room with broken toilet, sink and filthy shower. Wardrobe was closed with a rusty nail. Food on the borderline of edible, you had to ask for ketchup (and then they waited for you to use it so they can swiftly lock it away in a cupboard).     We booked our holiday to Mykonos with Olympic. Firstly a late flight change from 2 pm to 6am, no in flight meal on new carrier Excel Airways, not a problem but I did contact their uk customer service dept to re-instate the in-flight meal. I guess I just wanted what we paid for.

    Olympic Holidays, our negative experience.
    We arrived at Kos airport at night and we had to wait more than an hour for the transfer to take us to the apartment. We got there to find 2 dusty and horrible rooms and a bathroom where the toilet was leaking on the floor and the smell was like sewage. Following day bought everything we needed to clean, even Mr Muscle to try and stop the smell! Apart from the noise at night we had a terrifying experience.     In the holiday book the hotel, complex and rooms looked amazing. When we arrived we were told that by the Olympic rep that they only had a few rooms based in the hotel. Basically telling us it was on a first come first serve basis. The book and Olympic give out false hope. We were told we were in a hotel, we go there and were put in apartment rooms that looked tacky. In the book it is a 4* hotel complex, this is not the case.     The information provided in the brochure was very good. If anything it slightly undersold our accommodation. Our transfer journey could have been a nightmare as we had to catch a ferry to reach our final destination. We were never left festering in an airport but were able to spend our waiting time in comfortable and pleasant surroundings - in a taverna at the tiny harbour on our outbound journey and a hotel on our way home.
