There really was no need to replace something that was accessible and easy to use with something that is clunky and less than useful. Unbelievably, I have to log in twice to read my mail! I know that there have been other complaints from users, and I have sent my own feedback, but I have not seen any response. BT is obviously not interested in customer satisfaction. We are currently looking at other providers! (read more)

We have had ongoing problems with BT Yahoo for 9 months. Problems are mainly re vanishing emails - now you see them, now you don't. They never reappear.Given that I use my inbox as my 'pending' folder, and this is where they routinely vanish from, it's a total pain. I resort to creating folders to move emails to from my inbox as the only way of preserving them. BY Yahoo support have been worse than useless - one of their attempts to recover emails resulted in us losing 10 days of emails from... (read more)

Having problems with your password being rejected? Save yourself the hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue. There are possibly thousands of us in the same position and having talked at length to the technical team I resorted to calling BT to ask how I cancel BT broadband - it was only at this time I was told by the customer service rep that BT have been having problems with Yahoo and that they are terminating the contract. I asked when there would be a new provider and was told... (read more)

BT yahoo mail is so slow and frustrating I hardly use it now ,much prefer Gmail. If you have a problem with a line or your internet ,you get put onto the useless help lines .Eventually an engineer will come and see you but you could be waiting weeks. Unfortunately if you only have a fixed line you have to use BT ,they have the monopoly on these telephone lines. I spent three hours today trying to resolve a BT generated Yahoo access problem. During the process their Tech support guys managed to tell lies, invent policy of their own making, insult me and my wife and at the end of all of this leave the problem unresolved. As a customer support service in would get 1/10 as an experience it is close to a Mumbai version of Fawlty Towers with several Manuel characters trying to surpass each other in their complete lack of understanding of both the issues... BT continues its truly dismal performance and care for its customers. As of today, 28th March, the entire BT Yahoo mail systems seems to have crashed. The manifestation of this that I haev experienced is that for the last two hours of my life I have been trying to log in as normal, but have been told that the ID or password details are wrong. Having had this problem once before a few years ago - to be told after waiting for about an hour on the phone that it was because the BT systems... (read more)

I've been with BT Broadband for years and have resisted changing although I can get much cheaper rates, cos I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of changing and it seemed to be reliable.
Earlier this year we found that we were not receiving emails from friends and business colleagues. BT Yahoo seems for the last year to be in meltdown. I've used it for a number of years without any problems. The last three months have brought endless troubles with both general breakdown of the broadband supply and three breakdowns specifically to my own service. Dealing with the technical department is a nightmare. They don't keep records and they don't call back when promised. Although I have a joint contract for phone and broadband, there is no joined up thinking. When my phone broke... (read more)

BT Broadband option 3 and it is rubbish, the speed is so slow atimes that i think i am back on a 28k modem on dialup. I have been with BT Yahoo since they started a broadband service. Up until 18 moths ago I was relatively happy until moving home. Subsequent speeds have been woeful, technical support frustrating and hopeless while the options team are a waste of time- contract constantly downgraded in error. I have been with BT for approximately 10 years, from the days of 'cutting-edge' dial-up, up through the 2mb barrier, and just recently, with some trepidation, signed up for the '8mb' BT Total Broadband.
