Appears to be always available in the village that I live in and speeds seems good enough.
Security is really bad. BT have provided an account for me as @btinternet.com and also to another person with the same name as I have as @btopenworld.com. I receive messages for the other person and I assume he receives some of my messages. Some of the messages that I receive for the other "me" are very personal and also some provide information that I could use. Over the last 5 or 6 years I have complained to the BY/Yahoo support services but they haven't replied or done anything. This is a massive security breach.
I needs a broadband connection in the 01275 phone zone that is reliable and secure. Recommendations please.

Not to be relied on if you actually want to rely on your service because if there's a problem it's hard to get a solution as I have found in my experience. Therefore I do not recommend btyahoo.com.

Billing is poor as far as I am concerned from my experience, they do not mention in their adverts that they charge for three months in advance after a couple of weeks of service as far as I am aware therefore I do not recommend BT Yahoo! Internet.

Speed is now poor in my opinion. Reliablility excellent. Have never used support therefore I cannot comment on their services. However BT Yahoo! Internet has for been slow and getting slower in my opinion. I used to average a bit over 2Mb/s, now down to about 1.6. When my exchange unbundled I will probably go with BeBroadband.

Works as standard, when connection is working well. Easy and simple setup and fewer hassles than other providers in terms of bills etc
Generally too expensive for what you get in my opinion, and you are tied in to a long contract.

Have to phone up on average every two weeks because the wireless network doesn't work then someone takes over the computer and spends 30 to 90 minutes trying to make it work.
Fed up having to phone up and spend so much time just waiting when I have more important things to do, do not recommend BT Yahoo!

I've been with BT over the last three years and it was fine. Since about 6 months it is just useless. I'm paying for 8 meg unlimited broadband and what I'm getting is nowhere near this name. As far as I am aware my line is capable of 6.3 meg transfer but BT cups it down to 2.8 meg at best in my opinion, off peak and not even a 0.5 meg during the peak time which is roughly between 4PM to midnight and weekends. I was trying to get this problem sorted many times. Customer service is unhelpful in my ...

Connection exceptionally slow on a regular basis. Not in the same ballpark as virgin broadband speed.
If I had been aware of how slow the average connection speed was I would never have swapped from virgin.

I feel I received poor service providers. Poor broadband speeds, and overall not worth the money you are charging in my opinion.
If I find a better provider then I shall bite their hands off, because I dont think bt really bothers about me as customer.

My BT Yahoo Broadband connection, which should be up to 8mb per second, has been hovering around 30kb per second for the last few months. This webpage took ten minutes to download!
I am downloading a video from stage6; it is downloading at 23.6kb/sec only 6 hr 41 min to wait!
I hate BT Yahoo Broadband but I can't even tell them that because the guys in the help department don't understand my problem!

What a nightmare! The delivery company refused to answer their telephone to rearrange delivery times. The setup should have been simple but turned into a real hassle. I made the mistake of buying a couple of hub phones which I have to put on speaker in order to hear as the volume is so low (yes, even on the max level). They said they were going to fix this but a month later there has still been no update. And to top it all the speed is slower than my previous 2MG package. The problem is not with ...

I started with BT Broadband, unfortunately they handed the operation over to Yahoo.
As far as I am aware Yahoo swamped everything with junk software, smothered all the previously informative site web pages with adverts and general trash.
They have finally killed off the old BT Openworld Help page links, and their own pages don't appear to have any support links.
I now can't access to update my own BT Openworld web pages, could that be because they don't carry the Yahoo ads?

Well am quiet happy with the service but it could get better and the orice souldnt be less as it's an open market out there and if BT really want the UK market.
Then I say drop the price and the rest will only be greater for BT...
And I know for a fact that APPLE mac would love a slice of that trade and with that in the bag the UK market wound really gain as the youngest love that sort of stuff and learner is a great part of life if you make that part fun this great country will see the perk ...

Upgraded to 8Mb service. Speed dropped from 2Mb to 40-100kb - regardless of time of day or day of week.
The help desk told me that I had to wait 10 days for the system to settle on a speed - they even told me this AFTER I told them I had been on 8Mb for 75 days.... "Yes sir, but you will have to wait..." put another way - take them off script you may as well hang up the phone.
I was even threatened with having to pay remainder of my contract if I asked for a MAC.
In the end, I had to contact ...
