Good Points: Excellent value for money Good sound Clear picture Simple to set up
Bad Points: Slight 'pincushion' distortion on picture
General comments: I bought the JVC AV28EX5BK widescreen IDTV for less than £300, so it is difficult to fault at this price level. The tuner is very sensitive and gives excellent reception on all Freeview channels, even though I live in a fringe reception area (the Freeview web page tells me that my postcode won't receive all channels, but the JVC pulls them all in effortlessly).
Two criticisms have to be made however : -
Vertical and horizontal lines near the edge of the screen have a noticeable curve, more so on 4:3 images.
There is no way to go straight from the EPG to the selected channel - when you exit the EPG the set returns to the channel you were on when you entered.

The JVC AV28EX5BK widescreen TV is useless.
The main problem is distorted images from all the channels. BBC to ITV3 etc.
JVC is aware of the Aspect ratio problems on their AV28EX5BK, but still they sell them, and you can not get help or support from them. To get help you have to go back to the dealer, and the dealer I bought this item from (121 Electricals) are not helpful either.
I would recommend you look for other models like SONY or Panasonic.
