    Good Points: They have thought of everything.


    Bad Points: Little of it works.


    General comments: This is my second chance to evaluate the Mercedes C220 CDI Avantgarde Estate, the first car having been replaced due to re-occurring faults.

    It seems that everything that could go wrong - has gone wrong with this car. Mechanical and electrical faults, minor and potentially serious.

    One of the most frustrating parts of the whole episode is the dealerships' (and that of Mercedes Benz) attitude, and their insistence that 'everything is operating within spec' - despite a considerable body of evidence to the contrary.

    I have returned to the showroom so many times I am thinking of letting an office there!

    Mercedes aren't what they used to be - don't touch this one with a bargepole.
