“I recently started feeding FRR about 4 months ago and...”

★★★★★

I recently started feeding FRR about 4 months ago and this is BY FAR, the best food for my cats and dogs. They eat much less (no fillers) and the hot spots and iteching went away. My cats even had a small amount of hair missing at the top of their ears (food allergies) and it grew back after feeding them FRR. For anyone who is feeding another brand and wats a great brand you should definately fry FRR. The website is www.frrco.com/123161

All four of my dogs eat the Flint River Ranch dog and puppy kibble. We only serve dry dog foods - and they really like it. They are all small dogs and this is perfect for them. It is top quality and they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I don't know if it is the case everywhere, but they don't sell it near where I live and I have to order it online. I'm not putting that in the bad points section because I order from www.flintriver.com and get free shipping right to my door. Excellent!

“My shelter rescue rat terrier mix eats Flint River...”

★★★★★

My shelter rescue rat terrier mix eats Flint River Ranch Dog Foods and Cat Foods with gusto. I don't have to spike the kibble with anything, although he thinks that is totally acceptable, and at times I DO add some quality leftovers, but he cannot count on that! He is 7 years old and his skin and coat are in great condition - no skin allergies, as have many terriers in Houston's semi-tropical climate, and his coat is shiny and glossy. An added bonus is that Skip's stools are generally firm and of less volume than when he has been on some kibbles that are more grain based. He eats about 1 cup per day, a little more when he is especially active (like when it's not 100 degrees outside). The kibble smells fresh when a new bag is opened. I store the kibble in a tightly lidded plastic container to preserve it. Ordering it online is no trouble, and the cost differential is absorbed by not having to travel by car to purchase it. Delivery takes about 1 week.

I highly recommend this dog food. I have tried other brands - NutroMax comes to mind, but unless FRR becomes unpalatable to my cherished pet, we will continue to use it.

“Flint River Ranch is bar none the best pet food I've...”

★★★★★

written by appleye on 10/10/2005

Flint River Ranch is bar none the best pet food I've come across. I've looked at and tried a wide variety of so-called healthy dog foods and cat foods, including the pet store brands like Iams / Eukanuba, Science Diet, Purina, and Nutro (both Ultra Holistic Nutrition and Max varieties), as well as the wellness health pet foods like Pet Promise, Innova, Newman's Own Organic Pet Food, Wysong, and Blue Buffalo Dog Food, but none of these delivered the results I've personally seen with Flint River Ranch healthy pet foods.

I currently feed my cats Flint River Ranch Adult Lite Cat Food and my dogs rotate between the Flint River Ranch Lamb and Rice formula and the 'Fish and Chips' formula -- I haven't yet tried the original dog food formula. My dogs also get the Jubilee Wafer dog treats to help prevent joint and arthritis issues (plus they love the biscuits).

Since making the switch to Flint River Ranch, all of my boys and girls have shown considerable improvements in vitality, energy, and overall appearance (shinier, softer coats; cleaner teeth; leaner, more defined muscles with less 'chunkiness'; etc.) -- and I've never seen them more eager to chomp down their foods.

As another reviewer mentioned, you can purchase Flint River Ranch directly, but I've noticed you can save by shopping around and can often get better service from the various online FRR distributors. I personally have found A Plus Flint River Ranch to be the most helpful distributor; they also seem to have some of the best prices and discounts I've come across. Plus I have yet to experience any issues with ordering or receiving an order from them.

Bottom line is that while there seems to be a huge variety of health and wellness pet foods out there, I highly recommend the oven-baked health and nutritional benefits of Flint River Ranch dog foods and cat foods over any other pet food brand. Switching to Flint River Ranch has been the best decision I could have made for all of my animal companions.
