    Good Points: Ride, handling, mpg, performance, kit, value for money


    Bad Points: Quite a bit of road noise.
    Wind intrusion quickly cured -see below


    General comments: Had a basic Seat Ibiza 1.2 reference for 4 years. Traded for 1.4s [2008] which comes with alloys, sports suspension, sports steering wheel, sports seats...
    Much more comfortable esp. on motorway;
    Speed sensitive power steering very good;
    Wind noise entered cabin [driver's side] from first delivery [worryingly] but eventually traced it myself to a minute gap between the wing mirror attachment and the rubber exterior door seal-duct tape [only 2"] temporarily covering gap but clear sealant needed to permanently fix it.
    Seen that this is not uncommon although on other models it can come from door seal and window seal too.

    My husband and son advised me to buy the Seat Ibiza on the grounds that it won the small car of the year. In the 6 years I've had it, it has cost me nearly as much in repairs and services as it cost me to buy.

    Best car ever its cheap reliable perfect car all round I love it power is spot on sounds lovely and its a smooth and relaxing drive highly recommended for 1st car.

    As a first car, it makes you feel safe, also by knowing it is made with VW parts. These cars are good value for money and make a smooth ride.

    This Seat Ibiza 1.4 S 16V family car may not be the bargain it first appears to be.

    Iv had this SEAT Ibiza S for about 4 days, it has an excellent, super smooth and ultra refined engine with more than enough low down pull. It is very sweet sounding taking on a sporty rasp towards the top end of the revs. It pulls strongly through all gears and has great breaks. It handles very well and has an impresive amount of grip. The firm suspension gives very little body roll and gives a very sporty ride. Inside it is suprisingly roomy with a very reasonably sized boot. It has a great lis ...
