    I cannot thank The Wedding Shop in Colchester enough for helping me to look and feel amazing in my dress on my wedding day!

    The staff are very friendly and helpful. They put a lot of time in to finding your perfect dress. They did try to sell me accessories that I wasn't too sure about (which I expected them to do), but once I had expressed my opinion this was respected and they did everything to please. The women who deal with the fittings are particularly fantastic. So much effort goes in to making sure your dress fits just right! The quality was outstanding and my husband was speechless when he saw me walking down the aisle!

    On the down side, this is a popular shop and unfortunately this means that despite making an appointment you can often be kept waiting for 30 mins. But this also means that your appointment will not be rushed! When it is busy it can feel quite a small space but it is much better than others in Colchester! Finding my dress and having a friendly member of staff far outweighed this! If it is busy it is for a reason!! I wouldn't hestiate to recommend any of my friends to go there!

    I wish I could wear my dress every day!:-)

    I've recently picked up my dress from The Wedding Shop in Colchester and just wanted to wite a review as I wanted to praise good service! The team have been so friendly and helpful, willing to share their advice on styles and options. Each time I had a query, staff were always so friendly and helpful, and were so efficient.

    We first met the staff from the wedding shop at the National wedding show in London. They were lovely. My daughter tried on a dress, it was the first dress she had ever tried on. It looked amazing. She tried on several others but that dress just called out to her. We had to buy it. The staff from the wedding shop offered to look after it but my daughter wouldn't part with it.     I was really excited to be going to the Wedding shop, it was such a let down. The salesperson who served me and my mum was all simpering and did not have a clue, then was to embaressed to come into my changing room to help me get the dresses on. It was a real struggle and to top it off they had no air con working. Also we saw one poor lady trying on the most hideous dress, she looked unsure but they were trying to sell it to her anyway....we left promtly!

    I/We had hunted around looking for suits for our wedding. We'd tried the usual places, Moss Bro, Debenhams, youngs etc. To be honest I found the quality of the suits to be either poor or service to be pretty poor.

    I did like the look of the Cameron Ross suits (no not the Highland Wear).

    Very disappointed by cramped second floor room at The Wedding Shop where my daughter was expected to experience the joy of trying on her first wedding dress. This was despite having explained when making our appointment that my disabled mother would be with us and being told we would be on the first floor with a lovely large trying on area.     Excellent product and service! I really do have everyone at The Wedding Shop, Colchester to thank for helping me choose my absolutely beautiful wedding dress.

    1. The range of dresses - obviously I loved my dress, that is why I chose it! But the shop had so many I loved and could easily have worn on my wedding day.     I had a fantastic experience with The Wedding Shop in Colchester. I had been to one other shop and The Wedding Shop outshone it completely. I felt really special, was allowed to try on what I wanted and a member of staff was really lovely - she gave great advice, it didn't feel at all salesy but was helpful and practical.     These people obviously care about their business and client and it shows!

    The Wedding Shop in Colchester was the first wedding shop I went to and absolutely nothing was too much trouble.
    Despite having, no doubt, hundreds of potential brides come through their doors they always remember you and go out of their way to make you feel the most special person they have seen that day.

    The Wedding Shop, Colchester was cramped, service was appalling (rude, impatient staff who made personal offensive comments about the bride's choice of colour scheme for dresses and who seemed surprised that we would want to try dresses on before purchasing them!! ).

    I was looking for something very special, a red dress with sleeves. I never even once heard the words 'not possible', everyone tried to find a solution for all my ideas. In the end my dress was exactly what I had had in mind, the colour of the shoes and bag matched the dress and the shop even made a matching cravatte and hanky for my husband to be!

    A great personal service from The Wedding Shop, they remembered my name every time (even if I turned up without an appointment). They were more than helpful and I have no hesitation in recommending them. I had a beautiful unique dress, and they made up my daughters dress from her own drawings. Thanks to everyone at The Wedding Shop.

    I had the most wonderful wedding day in August 2004 and the centrepiece of that day was definitely my wedding dress! The staff put me at ease the minute I walked through the door and showed me a selection of the loveliest dresses I had ever seen. My search had taken me up to London several times and I wished I had gone to the Wedding Shop first as it would have saved a vast amount of time and money.

    Having visited every bridal shop in Colchester (and Ipswich), I'd have to say that The Wedding Shop was easily the best. I got on really well with the ladies there and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thoroughly recommended!

    Shopping at The Wedding Shop in Colchester was fabulous, I was made to feel like a real princess and the experience is up there with my best moments alongside getting engaged!

    Although I have not got my dress from here I would recommend them, they are so friendly, and they do have a good selection of dresses too. Really nice place, they make you feel relaxed, very refreshing.

    What a lovely experience at The Wedding Shop, Colchester! They altered my dress slightly, as I was panicking I couldn't breathe properly in it!! They gave me advice on how to have my hair! Best of all, they didn't push me into going for a particular dress..I felt they put my needs first - rather than the commission they may get on a dress!

    I will be recommending this shop to all my engaged friends!!

    I'm quite sad I won't get to see the ladies anymore! Maybe I should see if they want a satu ...

    The whole experience at The Wedding Shop was excellent and made the journey from south London totally worthwhile. The shop is uncrowded and the dresses all in good condition (unlike many other places I have been to). Having your own private area to try on the dresses is a huge plus as is the great advice and help from all the staff. I would highly recommend to anyone.

    Being an "older" bride it was refreshing to still be made to feel special by the staff at The Wedding Shop. The manager offered her opinion on what may suit - after numerous outfits chosen by myself I ended up with her first suggestion !

    As a result I have wonderful dresses for both myself and my bridesmaid.

    I have just come back from an amazing experience at the Wedding Shop in Colchester. I found my perfect dress here and ordered it a few months ago. The staff could not be more helpful. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble! The shop does not normally open on Sundays but they decided to open specially today in order to help out us brides who work full time and live a fair distance away and therefore struggle to find the time to get there.
