    Good Points: Bryn returns with another outstanding collection.


    Bad Points: It leaves you wanting more!


    General comments: From the very first note, that rich, gentle tone is unmistakably Bryn Terfel, and on Simple Gifts he really excels himself. The songs featured and the guests on the album, simply make this unmissable. An outstanding Panis Angelicus with Aled Jones, Ave Verum Corpus - a piece specially written by Karl Jenkins, and a version of She Was Beautiful with the great John Williams. All the bases are covered here, from traditional songs to modern show songs, hymns and classical tracks. Bryn makes it all sound so effortless and simple, and the wonderful production really compliments his huge voice. With the onset of winter and cold weather, this is an album that you can sit back and listen to, and just become immersed in the warm tones emanating from the speakers. A real delight.
