Written on: 20/07/2010

We done a last minute deal and was suppose to stay in the Hotel. But to our surprise it was full, so in turn they put us up in a 2 bedroom villa. It was fantastic. Clean very big, spacious. We really enjoyed our stay. Food was OK, not much of a good menu though. Staff very friendly. Lovely pool by our villa, it was quiet, but was not school hols yet so was a plus. I would def come here again and stay at the same hotel. I would HIGHLY recommend it. It was the reviews why I chose this... (read more)

We stayed in a villa. The pool was lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our love to Boro and Ata (spelling, sorry) who made our holiday. The food at the hotel was very good. The only complaint was the uncomfortable chairs in the villa, 2 kitchen chairs plus a hard put-u-up. Other than that the holiday was perfect. (read more)

every one was so nice , they were professional and kind it was a little remote but that was good. a bus passes every 5-10 min into the near by towns.bedrooms clean, bathrooms small but very clean. hotel postion was just what we were looking for.
they had turkish and english staff which was a bonus. on our visit they recently had refurbished and added anew turkish bath .. which i was the first customer. all in all nothing but praise looking forward to going next year . and i wont be the... (read more)

Written on: 21/07/2009

Just got back from our holiday at the Ovacik Monta Verde and had to say that we had a great time staying in this hotel. Having seen some reviews before we went we were a little worried but found most of the comments were not justified at all!
Staff were pleasant, hotel rooms were always clean and staying half board we found the food to be excellent. My only concern was that there could have been some children only options, as some children didn't eat the many salad and hot options on an... (read more)

Written on: 14/07/2009

Ovacik Monta Verde - Dirty rooms, faulty air-con, broken fridges/showers, incorrect charges for food & drinks etc etc. Waiting staff work like trojans and are very friendly but management are more interested in attracting paying diners than they are in the satisfaction of it's HB & B&B guests. "Entertainments" staff get paid for doing nothing and we had to organise events ourselves whilst one of them constanly swore in front of children and his English wife stood around and complained that... Written on: 01/07/2009 by Euan L (1 review written)

Firstly I really have to comment on other comments, some are utter tosh to be fair, ignore idiotic comments about the food etc, if you want to eat British food/don't like foreign food then stay at home/don't go half board, it's really very simple. Rooms are basic, but then that's why it's 3 star, if you want 5 star luxury then go to a 5 star hotel, and expect to pay several times more than it costs for this cheap and cheerful hotel. I went mid June and it was brilliant sunshine and blue... (read more)

Written on: 17/09/2008 by rosarosa (1 review written)

We had a lovely pool near our villa which was spoiled by Brits (who famously complain about other tourists) outrageously hogging the sunbeds by leaving their towels/books behind, from sunrise right through the day, whilst disappearing from time to time for a spot of lunch, a siesta or even an afternoon of shopping!
A beautiful region but if you travel abroad to experience other cultures and meet the natives then stay away! This resort, in fact the whole region (including Olu Deniz now,... (read more)

“Hotel Good Points: ”

Written on: 16/09/2008 by GRandCB (1 review written)

Hotel Good Points:
1). Staff are the most friendly and helpful I have met anywhere.
2). Nice pool area and there was no problem getting a sunbed anytime of the day. Best of all are the views from the pool area! The mountains are towering right over you! Sensational!
3). Rooms are basic, but kept very clean. Maid service was daily.
Location:
Dolmuses pass the hotel every 30 seconds and are air conditioned and very cheap. Hisarounu Centre is easy enough to walk to. We enjoyed having a nice 15... (read more)

Written on: 31/08/2008 by Paul Winterton (1 review written)

This hotel was the worse we have ever been in! No good points to report! Bad points, Everything! we went half board, the food was barely edible. Breakfast was olives and pre packed jam with bread and the occasional boiled egg!
We asked for orange juice but had to pay £2 per glass as you can imagine we went hungry!
The main buffet was a joke. Meat was very sparce, on the barbeque night you had to pay an extra £10 per person for chicken and lamb. On arrival we asked to upgrade from the prison... (read more)

Really nice place, nice pool and really helpful staff.
If you are going to stay here, please try the Coffee Spot for Breakfast and a nice coffee of a morning, just down the road from the hotel on the way in to Hisaronu.

Also try the Festival restaurant in Hisaronu for evening meals. The best I have tasted there and definitely worth the money - slightly more expensive than other places but still cheap compared to England. Went there 4 out of the 6 nights. Gorgeous food and really nice... (read more)

All in all I am very satisfied with my stay at the Monta Verde and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It's a great place to stay and relax during the day and a good base to explore from at night. Wouldn't recommend the area for singles, more a couples and families type of resort. A rise in prices has seen a drop in custom to the area. Restaurants seem quite cheap but the bars are probably the same price as back home if not a little more for imported beers. (read more)

Written on: 07/07/2008 by AlanahM (1 review written)

My family went to this hotel on the 8th of June 2008. Staff were very friendly. The food was very fresh. The hotel was well kept. We were very lucky we got a a couple of days of the villas both the villa and hotel were excellent and the pools were excellent too. Both bars were very good service too. It was an excellent holiday.

This hotel is well situated for going to all different places. I highly recommend turkish baths very good for you and a very good laugh. Boat trip to turtle bay and... (read more)

Written on: 10/08/2007 by sandiwest (1 review written)

The Monda Verde Hotel and Villas ( stayed one week in the hotel (B&B) and two weeks in the villas (self-catering) were on the whole very good value. The biggest downfall for me was the lack of access from the villa with its pool and bar to the the hotel with its pool and bar and facilities. We were a big party (21 in all) so we had three villas and two hotel rooms. We had to go out onto the street and walk a short distance to the entrance of the hotel. (read more)

Written on: 09/07/2006 by rgreenwood

We booked to stay at the Monta Verde in Turkey as a late deal through Scot Travel. Never again! We paid for half board, and we had 1 breakfast and 2 evening meals. One evening I asked if I could have a piece of cake, and the Chef advised "none left". Luckily, we met a couple who had been there for a week, and they advised us of an excellent English restaurant called Codswallop, which is run by 2 English ladies. We went there every day for breakfast and dinner. The food was all home cooked,... (read more)

If you want to eat rubbish such as fish and chips and English breakfast, then try going on holiday in some tacky English resort, such as Blackpool or Skegness.

I disagree with this review because...my family were at monta verde on june and had a lovely time couldn't fault anything .maids right up to owner were so friendly and helpful;we were lucky to get to stay in rooms and villas and found no fault in any.both bars and pools were excellent too, this was my first time staying in a turkish hotel, my daughter has been to turkey a few times at higher rated hotels and were rubbish one not so far from monta verde .she rated monta verde a lot better than the ones she's been to.we will be going back here hopefully in october again

Written on: 05/10/2005 by colfarm (2 reviews written)

The Monta Verde hotel was previously known as Hotle Bagci.
Food was not covered when on display, flies all over it. Same salad served everyday not replaced with fresh, same applies to cold meat at breakfast, often dried and curly at edges. very dark and dingy, no safety notices or fire appliances. No plugs in sinks, not allowed to pay cash for bar services, had to be on 'tick'.
On a very busy main road, traffic noise 24/7.
Bar music too load despite many complaints. Hot food served cold,... (read more)
