Good Points: Friendly, helpful staff, good standard of cleanliness, good entertainment, good, very clean pool.

Bad Points: I object to paying extra for a barbeque, which is served at the same time as the main meal which I have already paid for as a half board customer. Don't like paying for drinks on tick either.

General comments: Firstly I really have to comment on other comments, some are utter tosh to be fair, ignore idiotic comments about the food etc, if you want to eat British food/don't like foreign food then stay at home/don't go half board, it's really very simple. Rooms are basic, but then that's why it's 3 star, if you want 5 star luxury then go to a 5 star hotel, and expect to pay several times more than it costs for this cheap and cheerful hotel. I went mid June and it was brilliant sunshine and blue skies throughout, roasting hot, and I would recommend going at that time, not too hot, not too busy, not too expensive, just right. The resort itself is a bit scruffy, but the beach is a short bus ride away and there are many excursions you can go on. The hotel is very clean and tidy too and the pool is the cleanest i've seen. Plenty sun beds, hammocks, 'chill out 'room and such like if you just want to kick back and relax. The evening entertainment is good and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is in fact a wee bit repetitive, especially breakfast, but it is well prepared and as I say of 3 star quality, if you want to be served truffles and caviar on a silver platter don't go half board at the Monta Verde, if you want to eat British junk food then I would question the logic of going abroad in the first place.

We had a lovely pool near our villa which was spoiled by Brits (who famously complain about other tourists) outrageously hogging the sunbeds by leaving their towels/books behind, from sunrise right through the day, whilst disappearing from time to time for a spot of lunch, a siesta or even an afternoon of shopping! A beautiful region but if you travel abroad to experience other cultures and meet the natives then stay away! This resort, in fact the whole region (including Olu Deniz now, unfor ...

Hotel Good Points: 1). Staff are the most friendly and helpful I have met anywhere. 2). Nice pool area and there was no problem getting a sunbed anytime of the day. Best of all are the views from the pool area! The mountains are towering right over you! Sensational! 3). Rooms are basic, but kept very clean. Maid service was daily. Location: Dolmuses pass the hotel every 30 seconds and are air conditioned and very cheap. Hisarounu Centre is easy enough to walk to. We enjoyed having a nice 15 minu ...

This hotel was the worse we have ever been in! No good points to report! Bad points, Everything! we went half board, the food was barely edible. Breakfast was olives and pre packed jam with bread and the occasional boiled egg! We asked for orange juice but had to pay £2 per glass as you can imagine we went hungry! The main buffet was a joke. Meat was very sparce, on the barbeque night you had to pay an extra £10 per person for chicken and lamb. On arrival we asked to upgrade from th ...

Really nice place, nice pool and really helpful staff. If you are going to stay here, please try the Coffee Spot for Breakfast and a nice coffee of a morning, just down the road from the hotel on the way in to Hisaronu. Also try the Festival restaurant in Hisaronu for evening meals. The best I have tasted there and definitely worth the money - slightly more expensive than other places but still cheap compared to England. Went there 4 out of the 6 nights. Gorgeous food and really nice friendly ...

All in all I am very satisfied with my stay at the Monta Verde and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It's a great place to stay and relax during the day and a good base to explore from at night. Wouldn't recommend the area for singles, more a couples and families type of resort. A rise in prices has seen a drop in custom to the area. Restaurants seem quite cheap but the bars are probably the same price as back home if not a little more for imported beers.

My family went to this hotel on the 8th of June 2008. Staff were very friendly. The food was very fresh. The hotel was well kept. We were very lucky we got a a couple of days of the villas both the villa and hotel were excellent and the pools were excellent too. Both bars were very good service too. It was an excellent holiday. This hotel is well situated for going to all different places. I highly recommend turkish baths very good for you and a very good laugh. Boat trip to turtle bay and mud ...

The Monda Verde Hotel and Villas ( stayed one week in the hotel (B&B) and two weeks in the villas (self-catering) were on the whole very good value. The biggest downfall for me was the lack of access from the villa with its pool and bar to the the hotel with its pool and bar and facilities. We were a big party (21 in all) so we had three villas and two hotel rooms. We had to go out onto the street and walk a short distance to the entrance of the hotel.

We booked to stay at the Monta Verde in Turkey as a late deal through Scot Travel. Never again! We paid for half board, and we had 1 breakfast and 2 evening meals. One evening I asked if I could have a piece of cake, and the Chef advised "none left". Luckily, we met a couple who had been there for a week, and they advised us of an excellent English restaurant called Codswallop, which is run by 2 English ladies. We went there every day for breakfast and dinner. The food was all home cooked, and ...

The Monta Verde hotel was previously known as Hotle Bagci. Food was not covered when on display, flies all over it. Same salad served everyday not replaced with fresh, same applies to cold meat at breakfast, often dried and curly at edges. very dark and dingy, no safety notices or fire appliances. No plugs in sinks, not allowed to pay cash for bar services, had to be on 'tick'. On a very busy main road, traffic noise 24/7. Bar music too load despite many complaints. Hot food served cold, esp ...
