Now, I had trouble rating this gun due to it being good in CERTAIN cases. It basically is the cheapest AEG you can find, and that shows in the quality. DO NOT buy this if you plan to play airsoft against "real" high-quality AEG's/Other Skirmishable airsoft guns. It WILL NOT be even possible to use at airsoft fields against others, and you will probably be deterred from the sport if you try to bring it to a game at a real field as you will not have a good time being shot with no chance of... This gun is totaly kickass it has nearly the same weight as the actual M4 rifle exept it s a bit lighter (1kg less or so). The mag can be a pain sometimes for hi cap shooters but if you want to have one of the most realistic weapons on the market go for it. It is also a very acurate gun that never misses a shot and that totaly accepts it s duty on the field. If it would tend to jam just take the mag out it should do the trick. Would recomend to a friend at any time. hope it helped PS:... (read more)

this gun is sick i used it a couple weeks ago in a war in the woods and i was raping. it was accurate at all ranges very good.
i had it in two tone.
it was good because with two tone you can buy some nice camo tape and apply it to the surfaces of the orange.
although i dont recommend this gun if you are going to play urban because of its size and hard to walk down a corridoor.
i found it was good when i was in a village house deffending one of my out posts in sherwood woods.
i gound the...

Good accuracy from 20 to 30 metres , powerful too. Recommended to buy off A website called bbGuns4less , it comes with a grip, extension barrel , electric red cross sight, mock silencer, hop up, safety glasses, Charger and Front rail mounted handle. It is electric, I charge mine for about 2 hours it works perfectly for me! (read more)

Well when I got the M83 I was a beginner when it came to the world of airsoft so it was awesome. However as time went by I realized that it's not to accurate the way it fires it might as well be a "spray and pray" weapon if you ask me. But for the money it was worth and the beginner quality as I put it are really great. The one thing I loathed about it is that there are absolutley no high capacity mags out there for it, the only way to get one would be modify a similar mag from another gun.... (read more)

I got this gun for Christmas. It is very effective at 10-50 feet, but it loses its accuracy and curves to the right after that. No high capacity magazines. the magazines jam occasionally, and i had to take the magazine apart to fix it. the attachments are bad, but the laser after adjusting was good, but only as long as the gun was accurate. it would have been great to know that you cant get high capacity magazines before i bought it for sure. oh, and the hop up cant be turned off, it can... I bought my Double Eagle Electronic M83 in Gatlinburg, TN.
The gun itself is pretty good; I'm rather satisfied. The only real con with the gun is that occasionally a bullet with not come out when the trigger is pulled and will roll out of the barrel. The attachments that come with it are junk. they'll break within 2 weeks or so of use. If your gun jams, use Crosman BBs.
I would not recommend anyone buying this, though. Save your money and buy something better. If you really look, there's a...

I thought the rifle was really good! I just can't seem to get the hop up system to shoot the bb straight! Any suggestions? Also I thought is was totally worth my 40 bucks! It's pretty high quality plastic and the electronic sight that comes with it is pretty good. It definitely is for beginners because its only like 200 fps. But if you're just playing with your friends it is great. It can also shoot 6mm paintballs! But overall it's a great gun and worth your money. (read more)

I bought this Double Eagle Electronic M83 Full Size Airsoft Rifle for about $40 dollars. I didnt expect it to preform very well because it was so cheap. It turns out (to me and my friends suprise) that this gun actually kept pace with my firends $150 m14 aeg rifle. I have had no problems with this gun so far, but most of the acessories that came with it didnt work as well as i hoped, but hey its $40 dollars what can you expect. The M83 rifle is awsome. not only does it have a good fire rate, but also decent accuracy. i do have to say, it is more close range, but it's exactly like the m4 carbine!! it's made for that!! in my opinion, double eagle is THE best automatic airsoft brand, they're not super durable, but they not only get you from point a to b, they do it safely.
also, check out the m85 it's has a better accuracy

It's a great gun for the price ($20-50), but don't expect anything spectacular. At 20 ft you can get maybe 4 inches grouping if you have a steady shot and no wind. It barely does a quarter of a joule, it won't even penetrate a plastic bottle at point blank range.
It feels like the gun might be more accurate without the plastic barrel extensions, so if you really don't care about looks don't even bother putting on the barrel you might find yourself with closer groups.
The extras are really.....

You would want to buy similar priced-but-better guns than this..
my very short galaxy mp5k is more accurate up to 30 meters than this..
this isnt even accurate up to 1 meter..
plus..this ONLY holds .12 g bb?????!!! wtf???
"real" airsoft aegs carry .20 g up bbs..and have a speed of 350fps up.. not 190-230fps ONLY..
this is a TOY ..not an airsoft..

for 50 bucks you can already buy a galaxy mp5k.. or a jing gong ak beta or a cyma ak spetz / mp5sd6 and other great products of similar price..
also..the chrono of this gun is only around 230 fps.. while those mentioned above are 380 fps above..and they have METAL GEARBOX also FULL METAL body upgrades and stocks , countless upgrades , countless accessories and lasts way longer than m83 junk..

If you're lookig for a gun for rookies, that's right, because it's the highest quality economical ASG ever, it probably can accept a metal gear from an M933/M733 making him a perfect SMG. It's very versatile, so it's a wonderful backup gun, it's very realistic, light and with a metal gear can become a good assault rifle that can become also a sniper rifle. In close range the high rate of fire counterbalances the lack of range and precision, and with the pssibility to remove the carrying... (read more)

This gun is a nice weight and feels good grip-wise. However, the I found that the velociy of the .12g pellets was pretty poor, as well as the accuracy. Being fully automatic, you hold down the trigger keeping the gun completely still, and pellets fly out all over the place! Some of them even missed the target from 3 metres away. As for the .20g pellets, well, some of them barely made it out of the barrel.
This gun was second hand, so I don't know how a new one compares, but since the...
