Good Points: Small amount goes a long way. Although pricey it last ages so I think it's well worth what you pay for it.

Bad Points: Not really suitable for skin complaints such as eczema - try Aveeno instead

General comments: When I was a child it was known in our family as "THE MAGIC CREAM". A small amount applied before bed to chapped lips, wake up next morning and massive improvement.
    I still think it's magic!

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant

' intensive body moisturizing treatment. Smooth over body daily '

    What does it do?

The claims of this body cream are to leave the skin soft and luxurious for 8 hours long. They say that it absorbs quickly and deeply giving a very intense moisture saturation. Especially good for and reverses the appearance of dry flaky skin.

This cream has won THE BEAUTY INSIDERS AWARDS

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant is the only product that I have ever had an allergic reaction to on my lips. They are a right mess now - swollen with a rash of tiny pimples and feeling like they are severly burnt. this happened when i used it a year ago but I couldnt at the time work out what caused this reaction. Using it a year later (but a new tube) it happened almost overnight. :( not happy!

I live in Alaska and this product is fabulous for protecting your skin, especially the face from the harsh cold, dry weather we have here in winter. Great also for airline travel - keeps your skin from drying out on long flights.

Great product if you are looking for a skin product to protect your skin so that it keeps it looking moist. I use it instead of makeup with just a little lip gloss and mascara.

I bought it in the hope that it will clear up my eczema after trying just about every product on the market. Unfortunately it made my lips (where I have the eczema problem) worse. it has a very strong smell and after applying it, it also irritates my eyes.
In it's defense, I have to mention that it works wonderfully on my dry elbows.

I was suffering from blemishes, but since using Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant my skin has become much clearer. I noticed a difference from the first time I tried it.

Overall, I love Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant. There are occasions when it is all you need, and then it is a lifesaver. It softens and smooths skin super fast, making it ideal for carrying around and fixing dry spots as and when. Great on you feet under cotton socks, and hands and elbows and knees and...well anywhere really!

The hand cream is not brilliant but the body cream in the big tube is also pretty good as it spreads well and soaks in!

What a great product. Been using a little over a week and already my blemishes and acne are clearing up. I have pcos so I get mild acne on my cheeks and chin area, they get very sore and red, and by using this product everynight before I go to bed I wake up with one less spot that has disspaeared over night.
I am 31 and get fed up with having bad skin at my age, so if this product is healing my skin, I am happy. I recommend it.
    Well recommended product.

Test the product on a patch of skin first before using it. Never use it if you have a skin which is at all sensitive to colours, perfumes, lanolin, etc. The packaging on my tube of Eight Hour Cream showed no sign of details of ingredients to help decision-making. I would firmly say, "buyer beware": what I am still trying to fight off on Day 4 of taking prescribed anti-hystamines is the equivalent of a chemical burn.

This slightly honeyed feeling cream has stopped my eczema in its tracks. I get very sore eczema on the corners of my mouth and eyebrows, and I now apply a tiny dab of Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant every night, and I haven't suffered from eczema since. I also used to get sore elbows from working at a desk and leaning on it all day - again this cream has solved that problem too.

I recommend this. It seems pricey at first, but a little really does go a long way.

I have used Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant on almost everywhere for everything. My favourite use for it is after you have put on your make up, dab a little bit on your cheekbones for a fabulous glow. I have also used it as a night moisturiser to perk up dull skin, and I think personally it works a treat. I suffer with breakouts now and again, but this product has never made me breakout in spots.

When I bought this product it was about 10 pounds...a little over priced I think.

I used the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream a while back, after a friend recommended it. It was the biggest mistake of my life. After 1 day I developed an allergic reaction, which gave me a rash on my lips and made them swell up. The rash also affected the bottom half of my face. I returned it 2 days later, and I was given a full refund, after the shop assistant saw what it did to my lips. Although I am more sen ...

I recommend that you try this product out before you buy! (there are usually EA counters in large department stores like John Lewis) As there was so much hype about it I assumed it would suit anybody's skin and went and bought the trio set (skin protectant, hand cream and lip protectant) on eBay for £26.99. The lip balm does nothing more then a tub of Vaseline at 99p can do! The same goes for the handcream. I'm still in my teens and so still suffer from excess oil, blackheads and all that ...

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream is no better than regular Vaseline.

I got a small packaging from my sister, for my dry red skin spots (T-Zone and nose wings) on my face and my dry lips. I have used it several times, applying it before going to bed in the hope it would look better the next day. However, in the morning most of the stuff was on my pillow, so it was not absorbed by my skin at all! The spots looked no better; in fact they looked worse (inflamed red)m and my lips were wrinkled and d ...
