I had been left on the runway by AirMalta repeadedly spite of overbooking! The airport of departure said, I would get compensation. At arrival in Malta, non did get any information although sent to Malta by Swissport. Absence of organization or dishonesty I do not know. However, that AirMalta does not have qualified and trained personal to handle problems I can confirm. In Malta I went twice to the airport and non was interested to help, except handing over an email address of customer service… Read Full Review

I booked a weeks holiday as a reward for my son passing out in the Armed Forces. The flight was booked at 6pm on the Monday, Tues morning at 10am my son rang to advise he is being deployed half way thru' the hol. Under the terms and conditions of Air Malta regarding "Force Majeure" due to circumstances beyond his control. No refund is due only air port taxes. After two and thro' with Air Malta, they flatly refuse a refund, knowing quite well they would be able to re-book that flight… Read Full Review

With airlines these days cutting back on service (but not fares), it is nice to see that Air Malta offers a much more enjoyable old-fashioned style of service! Flying from London Heathrow to Malta (3 hours 10 minutes) and back again (3 hours 25 minutes), I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of service. On a relatively short flight, I didn't expect a hot meal to be served, but rather a sandwich or a wrap. The only downside is that the airline does not offer a complimentary bar… Read Full Review

I was travelling on a return flight No. 782 Malta - Athens - Sofia, on the 9 April 2012. The the steward from the cabin crew created a problematic situation on board of the plane while it was waiting at the Athens airport. Due to his improper actions and behaviour he went into a conflict with one of the passengers, escalated it into a quarrel over the passenger's boarding card. Luckily the quarrel was soon over and the passenger was calmed down and seated. About 15 minutes later the steward… Read Full Review

I always find Air Malta just about ok however if you need the customer service department or if you want to use your Kmiles they are the worst in the business. I have had my Kmiles for years and never been able to use them. Send them an Email and they will never reply and so on. It would seem corners are being cut. Are more corners being cut in areas we can not see??… Read Full Review

I recently flew from Copenhagen to Malta Via Amsterdam. Upon check in at Denmark, I was told I had to check my bag all the way through to Malta, as I had not much time when arriving in Amsterdam to transfer.
When arriving at the gate in Amsterdam airport for my connection, I was told I could not board, as my bag had not been transferred from the flight I just came off!
They said it was policy not to allow passengers to fly without their baggage! I was then left stranded in the airport… Read Full Review

absolutely brilliant i can highly commend the onward staff made us feel at home. having the front seats with the legroom at no extra charge as my mum is disabled was a bonus. cabin crew very talkative with us which we have never had before. had the option on flight to change our meals to vegatarian which was brilliant because thomson wouldn't let us change to vegatarian cbecause we did a late deal. reasonably priced bar on board. only problem was lack of entertainment. also f duty free onboard… Read Full Review

Prior to travelling business class with Air Malta for the first time we wondered, having read various reports, what to expect We need not have worried.
Our first encounter was the business class check in at Heathrow. We were greeted with a smile and without any delay we were checked in and into the lounge - The Holideck. The lounge was quite adequate for short haul legs. It was clean; had a good selection of cold snacks and a range of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.
Once on the… Read Full Review

Air Malta are brilliant to fly with but you only find out how professional a company are when there are problems. Well let me tell you Air Malta are the worst. During the recent volcanic ash crisis Easy Jet were brilliant with stranded passengers in Malta. Provided food and accomoation. Air Malta did not want to know. They were absolutley awfull. Did not offer any help to customers in any way whatsoever. They have not replied to any correspondence. would not consider flying with them ever… Read Full Review

As with many other airlines Air Malta are cutting corners, foods not as good as it used to be and wasn't fantastic in the first place, no more wine or beer with your meal soft drink only, no more films on flight just a few general programs with no headphones so a bit pointless. Staff are still the usual Maltese manor of doing the bare minimum and are always a misery. Myself and my partner now have almost 13'000 km miles each and don't know what good they will do? Last time I flew with Air Malta… Read Full Review

We flew London to Malta in economy. Going out we had the exit row with a nice pitch. Food was pretty lousy and service adequate. Coming back, had row 6. Very cramped. Everyone complained in the front section. My knees were in the seat in front (I'm 5' 8"). Food better, but crew not very friendly. After dinner one steward came around with the coffee pot offering a second coffee. When the senior steward saw her, he stopped her and said "no more". An uncomfortable flight and I have to say I've had… Read Full Review

I was very impressed with Air Malta and the check in was very speedy with no long queues. The flights took off on time both going out and on the return journey and the meals were very good with wine and coffie to follow. The customer service also was very good and efficient.
I can't think of anything I disliked about Air Malta and I would definately travel with them again… Read Full Review

Have just returned from a holiday in Malta, flew both ways with Air Malta. Both flights were on time, seat, legroom and meal were reasonable for an economy flight of this duration. However on both flights people in the row in front of me had their seats reclined when we were coming in to land when I mentioned this to the steward on the outward journey he replied that the person was asleep I said that he had got to get up soon, the steward walked off. On the return journey I mentioned the same… Read Full Review
