    We flew London to Malta in economy. Going out we had the exit row with a nice pitch. Food was pretty lousy and service adequate. Coming back, had row 6. Very cramped. Everyone complained in the front section. My knees were in the seat in front (I'm 5' 8"). Food better, but crew not very friendly. After dinner one steward came around with the coffee pot offering a second coffee. When the senior steward saw her, he stopped her and said "no more". An uncomfortable flight and I have to say I've had more legroom on easyjet.

    I was very impressed with Air Malta and the check in was very speedy with no long queues. The flights took off on time both going out and on the return journey and the meals were very good with wine and coffie to follow. The customer service also was very good and efficient.

    I can't think of anything I disliked about Air Malta and I would definately travel with them again.

    Have just returned from a holiday in Malta, flew both ways with Air Malta. Both flights were on time, seat, legroom and meal were reasonable for an economy flight of this duration. However on both flights people in the row in front of me had their seats reclined when we were coming in to land when I mentioned this to the steward on the outward journey he replied that the person was asleep I said that he had got to get up soon, the steward walked off.     Flew Gatwick to Catania and return.
    Flight times were very convenient with reasonable fares. Pleasantly surprised that the plane left on time and arrived early both ways and we quickly went through baggage reclaim.
    Meals were okay with free drinks (including beer and wine)and staff were all pleasant.
    Only downside was the inflight movie, which was a boring wildlife film and the same film was shown again on our return flight, though we were also shown details and updates of our flight.

    Have flown with Air Malta several times over the past years and never had any serious problems.Have found that their flights are much more convenient as regards times and airport locations than other arilines.They offer much more destinations on the telephone rather than online by taking connecting flights, which saves you a lot of hassle.     I have been flying to Malta with this airline for the last few years, making 2 or 3 trips and a year, sure they tend to be prone to delays out of Heathrow but they are never major delays. Inflight service is not up to the standard of say BA but its good enough for the ticket price, the inflight meal is normally nice enough and comes with a free drink, I normally go for a drop of Maltese wine personally, the films they show are normally rather second rate but the free headphones come in handy for ...

    Overall I don't think I have anything bad to say about Air Malta, I think they give a really good service. Staff are always very helpfull and pleasant and make you feel very relaxed, I do always prefer to fly Air Malta

    It seems that the flight into Malta they try to create a good impression of the country. On the way back it seemed like "we've had your money the sooner we are home the better." It also seems that they still impose a fuel surcharge of £40 pp. BA is now much cheaper and the budgets are cheaper still. I doubt that I would fly Air Malta again.

    After reading the comments about delays on this site I was very pleased not to have any. When we landed in Malta they were very efficient, It took us just fifteen minutes from landing collecting our bag and in our taxi on the way to our hotel. I would definitely fly again with them HR/MALTA.

    I've travelled many times with air malta in the last year and only got delayed once for two hours to Amsterdam. The excuses were lame ... true ... but it only happened to me once out of like 20 flights.
    Food is basic but always fresh. You might get something 'premium' like chicken with rice but this only seems to happen on-inward flights after which you will get a questionnaire to answer therefore: no questionnaire = no chicken.Staff always friendly, good in-flight information, Cartoons and com ...

    Waited over 2 hours going out, told the food hadn't arrived, everyone was sick of waiting and wanted to go without the food, coming back waited over an hour because the plane had to wait to land yet we could see it on the tarmac, problems with delays last year as well.

    I know that they are a small airline but in my opinion, they are unable to keep to any timetable. Their "excuses" for these delays are wearing thin, they need to get their act together and rewrite their timetable with their passengers interests foremost.

    A really good all round service, and for the first time in years I ate as did my partner consumed an airline meal which was way above normal airline fare, how pleasant that water, fruit juice & a cup of tea or coffee were offered free of charge. Hostesses responses were virtually immediate. Some of the bigger airlines I have flown with could take a few lessons from Air Malta.

    Outward flight was delayed 2 hours and return 3 hours, which appears to be quite usual from discussions in resort. Our flight quickly identified in check in by huge snaking queue where they had not opened the check in promptly. Some cabin staff were bordering on surly and seemed more concerned about hiding behind curtains than providing service. Spent over an hour on ground at Thessaloniki after refuelling and had to ask for refreshments. Generally no explanations for various delays, and no one ...

    Flew back from Fuerteventura with half an hour delay. Staff very friendly and efficient The captain was very informative. Fresh wraps to eat.

    MAN - FUE. Our Flight was due to take off on Saturday 2nd at 1020hrs, upon arrival at the airport we were informed that the aircraft had gone "tech" in Crete and that we were going to be coach transferred at 1100hrs to Gatwick for a 1530hrs flight. Check in staff thought that the coach trip would take approx 90 minutes which gave us lots of time to check in. Working within the transport industry I know that this journey would take at least 4 hours giving us 30 mins to check in and board! After h ...

    Flights on time, nice crew, clean planes and good in flight entertainment. Food could of been a bit better, but was adequate. Did get a free alcoholic drink with meal, so cant really complain. Very nice flight. Its a shame to see on here Air Malta are letting standards slip in the charter flights.

    I would never book flights with this company again, it completely spoilt my holiday with over 37 hours of delays outbound and return.

    Flew (eventually) from Manchester to Corfu 21st July 2008. Arrived 3 hours before (as per ticket) - desk didn't open until 2 hours before. 7hr+ delay - no further info all day - no Air Malta rep (apparently there is only one Air Malta rep, who didn't turn in for work - so that's OK then!!) The Swissport people wouldn't man the info desk and the manager refused to come out to speak to anyone. When I did track one down I was told this standard of service is normal for Air Malta.

    Overall Air Malta provide a good service. I've flown with them numerous times, and never had any problems.
