General comments: What is it with Little Britain Series 2? It's the same jokes over and over again and people just mindlessley lap it up! I'm not a prude and do think it's funny but for me it's well over-rated!

Give me The Office or Extra's or anything with tubster-in-chief Peter Kay involved. LB is catch-phrase comedy personified and although it does stir a laugh or two, I can't help but think it's one big con.

But you've gotta give credit to Walliams and George Doors because it's better than most of the other stuff that passes for 'comedy' these days. Yes you know the baloney I'm talking about - boredom inducing play it safe trash like My Family, the shocking Mike Bassett (weeing on the legacy of a great film), anything involving Arlon O'Hanlon, The Crouches......the list is endless and the main culprits are ITV and BBC1. Even Boycie and Marlene let the side down as the Green Grass failed to live upto expectations despite the best efforts of John 'Poisoned' Challis.

It's due to the deluge of sub standard comedy that Little Britain stands head and shoulders above anything else at the moment. Catchphrased & cliched it may be, but at least there are some cracking such as crafty cripple Andy and his carer the loveable Lou. Even the insanely annoying Vikcy Pollard gets the odd laugh from me, not to mention the only gay in the village.

I'm loath to recommend it, but I feel I must - because other than Extra's this is the best comedy DVD out at the moment. It will bring out the juvenile in all of us and for that we must be grateful.
