Good Points: Totally fox proof we often have fox visitors and have added a padlock to the run door just in case we have any very bright foxes around but in two years we've been ok. The unit is easy to clean too. We also use tent pegs to secure the skirt on the run to the ground but I think I'm a little paranoid!
Bad Points: Can be difficult to clean run area properly if you ave the eglu in a fixed area, involves much contorsion with a long handled rake! The other problem we have is the eglu door gets jammed when the girls rake around and kick chippings in it but they don't mind it open and the run is safe overnight.
General comments: I love having chickens ans this Omlet Eglu. Chickens are very cool pets and the eggs are delicious. Living in an urban area means lots of foxes who are very bold but the girls are safe in the run and can roam when I'm around. They can be a little noisy when they lay so make sure your neighbours are chicken friendly but over all I find them very rewarding little creatures who make me smile every day.

The Omlet Eglu houses two adult chickens. It is a nice-looking, well-designed piece of kit, very solid and just about big enough for them to be content in their run. It also has a good online user forum, which offers lots of advice to those of us keeping pet hens for the first time.
