Good Points: Fantastic caring, attentive friendly staff.

Bad Points: VERY strict on inoculation and reception times. DON'T forget your vaccination card or they won't let your cat in!

General comments: I have been using Elite for 12 years and ALWAYS found the service and levels of care of the very highest standards possible. They love cats (which really helps as you can imagine) and have been in business for over 20 years - so they must be doing something right! As for those very bizzare comments about sneezing, smells and 'cage' sizes (they are actually called pens by the way) well: All the cats that go to Elite are 100% in date inoculated and provably so. Cats can pick up airborn diseases any time and often sneeze on returning home as they adjust to the 'new' and as they spend up to 18 hours a day asleep the 'cage' size is fine! At least they are let out every day!

Our gentle old cat regularly stays with Elite and we would recommend them to anyone. What Elite most certainly isn't is a pretentious, overpriced pampering parlour. I would say that you get no-nonsense care from people who clearly love their jobs and take their responsibilities seriously. We have boarded many animals at various places over the years - if a cat or dog spends a significant amount of time in an environment other than your home (especially in the company of other animals) then they ...

I have had my 3 cats board with Elite Cattery and have found the care to be fine. The people who run the cattery are all 'cat-people' and care about the animals. They don't put on airs about their service - they are caring but no-nonsense. The other review (which is very old - 2005) must have been a one-off. I am happy to recommend Elite Catteries to others in the area.

Our cat has been going to Elite cattery on Archway Road in London since 2004; several times a year. Sometimes she stays for up to six weeks. She comes home smelling of flea powder, but very happy. She loves the staff there, and she clings to them when we come to pick her up!

We would recommend the Elite Cattery to anyone.

I took my cats here recently, and I was shocked to discover that the cages were very small.

The cats are let out every day, but they are allowed to roam with all the other cats, which is quite worrying!

I didn't have the time to book a cattery elsewhere, so I let them stay at Elite Cattery on Archway Road in North London.

When I picked them up a few days later, I was upset to find that they both smelled, and their coats were quite dirty.

Although this cattery is very cheap, I would n ...

Elite Cattery on Archway Road in North London is a long established cattery in an accessible location just off the A1. Well-run and clean. They have always made space for our cats, even at short notice.
They are very strict on opening times.

I highly recommend the Elite Cattery in North London. My cat has boarded there on and off for the last 8 years, as have the cats of other members of my family and friends. The cats are well looked after. The cattery is very clean, and the staff are friendly and well informed. Cats are exercised (within the cattery) every day, and fed on whatever they usually eat at home, to help them feel more at home. The cattery has a very strict policy regarding vaccination (they insist on sighted proof of ...

Elite Cattery in Archway Road, North London. A woman in charge told us that it would be £40 and when we collected them she charged us £50. The cats also smelt of urine when we got them back.

I would not recommend Elite Cattery to anybody who cares about their cats.

When I picked my cats up from Elite Cattery, they had an overpowering smell of urine. On further investigation I noticed that it was all over their fur (even their heads). When I telephoned to ask why this had happened, the proprietor made many excuses.

The same evening I noticed that they were sneezing. The next few days my cats got progressively worse. They were sneezing constantly, and could not breathe through t ...
