Good Points: Economy.
Bad Points: Bad vision. A-frame pillars very wide and leaning in. On several occasions cars and pedestrians approached from the right and were hidden behind the pillars. Engine maintenance very expensive due to bad design, number one injector cannot be removed without removing turbo first. I ended with a bill for over £1000 for a job that would have cost £250 on any other car. Poor resale value.

Great little car the Mercedes A170d Avantgarde. For its size can cram as much into it as a bigger car. Returns over 50mpg (and cheap to insure) but need the Avantgarde spec to get any sort of luxury inside the cabin. Good driving position - quite high above the road.
Fine to drive on the motorway - not an involving drive but always feel safe at speed. Diesel engine great once you get going - not so good when moving off. Brakes are good but not brilliant.
