Read the small print! Subject to a daily Network Service Fee of £0.39 if you make or receive a call or send a text. I will be more careful to read the small print in future. Also awkward to use with the whole ring back thing not always seeming to work properly yet charges seeming to accumulate.

I bought this SIM4travel International Roaming Sim card as going away for first time without my son and i wanted him to be able to keep in touch with me while i was away. Next time i will buy a local Sim immediately on arrival and give him the number.

    DON'T BUY THIS SIM CARD!

    PROBLEM 1
    ---------
I purchased a SIM (which include £10 credit) from BA on the way to the USA. After registering my phone I discovered that there was no credit. To call SIM4Travel for support would cost £1.19 per minute. There was no online support i.e. IM or email. I called them using Skype but the matter was not resolved. I emailed BA who contacted them and they put the £10 credit and £7 for phone calls on my account. I didn't use the phone wh ...

I have had sim4 travel international roaming for the past 4 or 5 years. because (as I understood it)people could telelphone me from their mobile and to get a call was free this was very useful. and the cost of the calls was in the main cheaper than if I had used my ordinary mobile. Even the cumbersome way of making a call was ok. However I had major major problems in Australia in Januryar to March 08. In fairness it was a major failure of the network so neither incoming or outgoing calls well ...

Spent £30 on these sims to use whilst we were on holiday in KOS last year. Not once were we able to make a proper call. After days of trying we gave up. Was very disappointed we hadn't been able to make a call yet the £15 credit went. Total waste of money. No good in Kos !

Sim4travel cost me an absolute fortune to keep in touch with friends and family in the uk whilst travelling in australia. It was supposed to be free to receive calls yet 98% of the time it wouldn't accept incoming calls. It flashed up call rejected on the screen before it had even rang. I know it was possible to receive calls where i was as i managed it about 3 times. I would never recommend them.

Unfortunately my experience with Sim4travel has been problematic for the following reasons.1. initially I purchased the Sim card on British Airways but it was not serviceable and after a lengthy process had the card exchanged for an update, which only reached me by mail after I returned home from my trip.2.Recently a daily charge (of which I was unaware) was added -39p per day- when the card is used.3. The latest problem is that now I have been unable to make calls. In efforts to solve the issu ...

Initially when i bought the sim4travel line it was great and i could make calls to the destination i wanted for free. They then introduced a daily 39p charge without me realising. It was updated on the website but i only found out when a friend told me. Also they then introduced a 10p per minute charge on top of that a few months later, once again i had no clue and only found out when i called them to tell them more credit was being used than the calls actually being made. Good to begin with b ...

I purchased a Sim4travel card and £50 credit, had 2 phones unlocked at additional cost of £40 to be told by the customer service that neither models I had unblocked worked with their Sim, this is not anywhere on their website as far as I can see, I am currently trying to get a refund!

I bought the card for £16 on EasyJet. This included £10 credit. I received calls every day (in Madeira) with no problems. I sent & received texts. I hope it works as well in other countries I visit. I recently spent around £40 in two weeks on my normal sim, sending & receiving texts in USA, plus receiving a couple of calls. So I'm very pleased. Was a bit concerned when I found it needed setting up online. Luckily my hotel had easy internet access.

It's time to change to another provider. I really like the idea of these cards and the have saved me a fortune but I'm not happy about other people possible losing out. Anybody use a different provider - recommendations please??

I would never use again and would not recommend to anyone based on my experience through several countries over 3 weeks.

It doesn't always work. Sometimes I have to select a different mobile operator to connect to. Sorting out problems hits your credit.

They have just put up their costs, adding a DAILY charge if the phone is used (currently for incoming/outgoing calls and outgoing texts) of 39p. That's £11+ per month. A) it's not so attractive now, and B) I don't like the fact that they can increase the charges without telling you (it's 'advertised on the web site', but when was the last time you perused t ...

I don't recommend spending your money on this SIM. Buy a local SIM when you land. Chances are, it will be cheaper for international calls and FREE for incoming calls. Also probably the same price to call back home.

There are many other SIms providing regular UK numbers that allow for no roaming inbound calls. The one I've been using is run by Midas Telecom and is sold to Brits living in Spain.

I have tried to use local sims before but I have always found them a real pain to use - If you buy a SIM from SIM4travel, my tip would be to take a look at their tariffs and coverage, its easy to use and they dont seem to hide anything.... I have used on about a number of trips overseas over the past 4 months and its definately saved me money. I did not seem to have any problems with the service and received and made calls without any real troubles. I have recommended their service to a few peop ...

Following my discovery i went back to complain. The Car Phone ware house pointed out that all the countries that receive for free are on the Sim4travel web sight and that it says that Canada is not free, there fore the sales person either miss sold the product or more probable he did not understand the product limitations.I suggest that you check to make sure that the destination that you are receiving in is listed on the web sight. A total wast of time and money for me...

A waste of money, just buy by a cheap SIM on arrival and then use a calling card.
