Good Points: Easy to set up but if you don't have access to the internet to register then beware. the call (to a london number) took me ages.
Bad Points: I have just arrived home and have received a flood of text messages. These had been sent while I was away which makes me think they struggle to deliver mssages into Slovenia even though I was able to send (and receive delivery reports). I have just visited their website and there is no option to send an email or a web contact form. I can only write or call with my query so like so many others no doubt who will find the lack of email contact an inconvenience, i will not bother to contact them.
General comments: I wish i had bought a local sim. I certanly will not be topping up and will let the number and the credit expire

There are many other SIms providing regular UK numbers that allow for no roaming inbound calls. The one I've been using is run by Midas Telecom and is sold to Brits living in Spain.

I have tried to use local sims before but I have always found them a real pain to use - If you buy a SIM from SIM4travel, my tip would be to take a look at their tariffs and coverage, its easy to use and they dont seem to hide anything.... I have used on about a number of trips overseas over the past 4 months and its definately saved me money. I did not seem to have any problems with the service and received and made calls without any real troubles. I have recommended their service to a few peop ...

Following my discovery i went back to complain. The Car Phone ware house pointed out that all the countries that receive for free are on the Sim4travel web sight and that it says that Canada is not free, there fore the sales person either miss sold the product or more probable he did not understand the product limitations.I suggest that you check to make sure that the destination that you are receiving in is listed on the web sight. A total wast of time and money for me...

A waste of money, just buy by a cheap SIM on arrival and then use a calling card.

Dud card, on which I can neither make nor receive calls in Germany, Greece or Albania.. they have failed to sort out the problem over the last 2 weeks. Although I have been unable to use the card, my 10 credit is down to 12P and they tell me to top it up!

I bought it in duty free at Heathrow which saved the VAT (from Dixons). The UK VAT is an unnecessary cost when your use of it is outside the UK and I cannot understand why they do not organise to avoid it. There are several competing options (0044.com, Maxsim etc) and each has its points. To maximise savings you need to work out where you will be using it. There are cheaper options for any one single country.

I've been using them for over 6 months now, and I travel regularly on business all over Europe, and I have calculated I have saved over £2k so far this year. It's free to receive calls in Europe, so my wife calls me from home when I'm away. And having checked my BT bill - it only costs 22p per minute to call a SIM4travel, regardless of which country I'm in.
I definitely recommend it, as I top up in advance and I am in control of how much I spend, whereas I'd receive a bill when I retu ...

The SIM4travel International Roaming service is about saving money for the traveller. You don't pay to receive calls, and when you do make a call it's much cheaper than taking your UK mobile with you. The SIM card costs £29.95, but on balance it saved me heaps of cash.
I would recommend using the service. I bought mine for £29.95, but I just found out from a friend who sent me a special offer that might be worthwhile taking a look at. A promo code from SIM4travel that lets you bu ...
